Chapter1:The Continuation
Crimson's Point of View
Three days have passed since the party. When X and I teleported, we went straight to our beds and, of course, practiced in our dreams. The gods and goddesses kept saying that it's getting closer whenever we asked what they meant, they just smiled at us. Now it's night, and tomorrow we're returning to the academy, but I can't sleep, I wonder why? It's also a full moon. I sit on the bed and see that the two of them are still awake.
"You can't sleep?" I ask.
"Yeah, I'm not feeling sleepy either," Sharlene responds.
I get up and go to the bathroom to wash up. We're still wearing our masks and all black clothes. I glance at the mirror, my eyes widen when my necklace starts glowing, so I quickly run out of the bathroom. I see Sharlene and Xian standing, holding their necklaces.
"It's glowing," Xian says.
"Follow it," someone says.
We look around but see no one.
"It's time."
"Follow it."
"Go."
"You all can do it."
"Be careful."
"Trust."
"You can do it."
"Follow it now."
"Get ready."
We keep looking around because of the voices we hear. I glance at Xian, who has a backpack and a flashlight. She ties her jacket around her waist and puts her hair in a ponytail with a wig. We don't transform into our demon forms, and our foreheads are furrowed.
"Get ready, guys. Maybe what the gods and goddesses have been saying is about to happen," She says.
I quickly put on my backpack, putting money, canned goods, and flashlights for emergencies. I tie my wig and jacket around my waist and adjust my mask. Xian does the same. Our necklaces glow again and pull us, so we follow where it leads.
It's strange that there's a forest behind the palace, and a dark forest at that. It's a good thing it's not too dark because of the three moons. We walk quietly through the forest, each of us carrying knives and defensive items.
Of course, I always have the master sword behind me, making it invisible so it's not noticeable. Sharlene brings her golden summoning scroll. We left nothing behind, just a note saying we left. The wind gets colder.
"Where are we going?" Sharlene asks.
"No idea... we'll just follow where this necklace wants to go," Xian replies.
"Do you guys have any idea what the gods and goddesses are talking about?" I ask.
"Nope... I have no idea," Xian responds.
"Me neither... what could it be? It keeps getting colder and foggy here," Sharlene says.
Indeed, the forest is quiet, only the crickets are noisy. We look around as the leaves rustle, and we hear the branches breaking, as if someone is stepping on them.
"Attack them!" someone shouts.
We look back.
"Run!" Xian shouts, so we run, holding onto our necklaces.
"Why are they chasing us?!" I ask.
"I don't know, with that many, we might not be able to handle them," Sharlene says.
There are so many chasing us, some carrying clubs. We keep running until we stop.
"s**t! Dead end! It's a cliff," Xian says.
"What are we going to do?! Are we going to fight them? There are so many!" Sharlene asks.
"Let's fight," I say, about to charge at the person speaking through the necklace.
"Don't... just jump," they say.
"What?! We'll die!" I say.
"You won't die, trust me," they say.
We look at each other, and as it gets closer...
We jump, thinking we'll hit the rocks, but instead, we're engulfed in light, and all the gods and goddesses appear.
"Congratulations... you are going back, don't forget our advice," they say.
"Take care, don't be afraid to love and trust."
"Remember that pain is part of growing."
"We will always watch over you."
"Don't abandon each other."
They each say with a smile. We're surprised as they remove our masks and wigs.
"Don't hide anymore, let it out."
"Don't give in to anger."
"TAKE CARE!"
They all say together.
We were about to chase after them, but they disappeared, and we fall.
We scream and hug each other.
Aaahh! WE'RE FALLING!
I look down.
" WE'RE FALLING!!" I scream.
"YES, AND NO ONE WILL CATCH US!" Xian says.
" IF NOT GROUND THEN WATER!!!"
We look at each other and screamed again
