Today I'm finally getting the chance to take the love of my life, and my mate, out on a date. I know she hates me but she said she would try, I just have to make it to were she sees me for me and not some selfish boy. She needs to know hat I'm worthy of being Alpha and better yet, her soulmate.

*Knock, Knock*

"Come In" I say as My father enters the room "Hey dad, whats up?" I ask walking out of my closet from picking out my outfit for today.

"Since your now going to be the future Alpha, Do you want Derek or Troy to be your Beta?" My father asked while setting down some jackets I asked him to bring.

"Actually dad I was thinking of making Alicia the Beta." I said smiling at him

My dad looked confused "Who's Alicia?" My father asked looking at me

"Shea's best friend. Alicia is a smart and brave girl, she will be able to handle it." I state as my dad nodded.

"So the cute short girl that's always around Shea when we go over to there house, I correct?" My dad asked

"Yes Father. And I think she would be perfect for the job because shes so fierce and besides Shea is smaller than Alicia and Shea is going to be Luna, Father." I say looking disappointed in my dads reaction

"Yes son, I know Shea is smaller than Alicia. Shea is the shortest out of all the 16-18 year old's. I think she drinks to much coffee. When your Alpha you have to make sure she doesn't drink to much coffee." my dad said almost leaving my room.

"She hates coffee dad, It's just in her genes that shes short." I say as my dad left my room.

'Time to get ready?' Sean, my wolf asked me

'Yes sir,' I say while getting dressed in a navy blue tee with a black pull over jacket to cover me with black ripped jeans and black shoes to throw it all together.

"Why so much black?" I heard a voice say.

I turned around and saw Alicia standing in my doorway

"Alicia, what are you doing here?" I asked a little shocked

"You dad mind linked me telling me you wanted me to have the beta status. Why?" She asked walking closer. "Is it because you want Shea to love you or is it because you don't trust Troy or Derek with the job or because you just felt like it. Which is it?" She asked in a calm but scary voice. "You don't even know if shes going to choose you to be the Alpha of her pack yet, She could choose me." She said  sitting on my bed.

"She's not gay, Alicia. And I'm choosing you because your Shea's best friend, your smart, strategic, your strong and brave. Why do you want her to pick you, Are you in love with her." I asked getting up close to her face.

"Of course I am, She's my mate." She said standing up
