EPISODE NINE

Dennis POV

I yawned heavily as I stretched my body, I checked the time and it says 4:56am.

I was used to waking up early especially when going to work, I looked at my side and saw Natalie still sleeping.

I can't still believe I slept in this magnificent mansion, I am gradually achieving my aims.

I called my boss to inform her about my absency from work for a long period of time. Since am her favourite, she grants me this request after cooking up lies for her. She trusts me so much, am always the sharp girl.

I stopped up quietly to the kitchen without waking anyone and decided to make breakfast.

It was hot sauce and baked bread and tea.

After doing that, I began sweeping the parlor and arranging everywhere before Natalie comes out yawning.

" Now the trouble maker is waking up, such a Lazy brat" I commented and she hissed.

" If you like, do all the good things in this life to please my brother, he would never like you. You're so desperate and I pray you leave today, stop forcing yourself in this family" she said and I chuckled slightly.

" Everything would soon be clear to you, just watch out" I said and winked at her.

I cleaned and dust everywhere while she keeps recleaning everything.

" You are so jobless" I said and she hissed loudly.

" I don't have time for confused girls like you, realization would soon hit on you that you have no place in this family" she fired back at me and I smirked at her.

Soon I was done cleaning and I went upstairs to prepare Jadhiel for school.

I barged in to meet both daddy and daughter playing, so cute..

" Good morning Michael..... hope you slept well Jadhiel" I asked smiling at her and she frowned.

" I didn't because of you and I won't sleep well until you leave this house and leave my daddy alone. I don't like you and can never like you" she said screaming on top of her voice.

" Jadhiel!...Can you just stop that, you Don't Scream at your elders like that" Micheal scolded and Jadhiel face turned pale, she looked at her dad and tears trickled down her face.

" Jadhiel...Stop that, stop crying am sorry" Micheal said pulling her for a hug and I watched the madness between them.

Madness is too harsh a make use of but crazy, yeah crazy! They are both crazy.

" Daddy, you have never raised your voice at me but because of her , you shouted at me.That would make me hate her the more, I dislike her so much I can never like her. Dad, you" Jadhiel said and suddenly stopped wiping tears from her eyes.

Michael used his left hand to dry the tears on her face

" Am sorry dear but just that.." Michael said short if words.

" That's okay now... Jadhiel we are both sorry. Now time to get dressed for school" I said but she eyed me.

" You can't dress me for school, either my dad or Nobody else" she replied bluntly. Such a stubborn head....

" But Jadhiel, your dad is.." she cut me short immediately.

" I will bath my self" Jadhiel said and ran into the toilet.

" Jadhiel please be careful" Micheal shouted as she entered I into the bathroom locking the door.i sighed heavily

" Am sorry about her naughty behaviour and don't mind what she said " Micheal said and I smiled.

" Sure! She is still a cute little thing" I said giggling and just then my phone rang and the caller was Don.

My heart skipped immediately, what am I going to do?

I succeeded in cutting the call and Micheal looked at me akwardly...

"Why aren't you picking the call" Micheal asked and I gulped so hard.

" The person is of no importance so Don't worry yourself" I said smiling trying to cover up but it seems he was a little bit stubborn.

" Try picking the call up , it might be sort of emergency" my heart skippedd, I don't want anything to spoil my plan , oh God! .

Just then, Don called again and I picked up immediately. All thanks that my phone wasn't on speaker.

Don: hey babe what is wrong, I am expecting you this morning. Why do you love dissapointing me.

Dennis : it's not my fault, just trying to help a friend.

Don: help you say, why do I feel like you are lying to me ....

Dennis okay bye...Talk to you later.

Don: Dennis! De....

( Call ends )

Don POV

The call ends and I shoved my phone into my pockets angrily, why does still like hurting me and playing with my emotions.

"Is it a crime to fall in love?, I love her so much and is ready to sacrifice anything for her, is she so blind to see this?" I scareamed out loud as I rested at my car.

It was still early in the morning, does she choose her do called friend over me.

Suddenly thunder struck and then lightening,it was about to rain.

I don't care if the rain drenches me but I will keep waiting till she's here.

As I predicted, the rain began to fall but not heavily, I stood there refusing to enter my car as the rain fell on me. I cried feeling so hurt and cold,I cried so much because of this girl.

Indeed love sucks!

" Don" I heard a feminine voice, hoping she is the one but I was dissapointed.

It was Chloe her best friend who was coming back from travel. By this time,the rain stopped already.

" What are you doing early this morning drenched in the rain" she asked pitifully.

" Waiting for her" I said with so much pain in my voice.

" I will advise you to go cause she isn't coming today or you can come in so you can dry yourself. I wish you understand" she said and I forced a smile.

" I would be fine" I said and entered my car and drove off.

Michael's POV

She ended the call and smiled back at me

" It was just a friend, she was asking either I won't come back today" Dennis explained.

"But taking a break from work, won't it affect you, do you have to...." She shut me up by placing her hands on my lips.

" Sssshhhhhh, no more words about that matter ,it has been sorted out already. Don't stress yourself, remember you need enough rest. How is your arm" she asked touching my arms and I made slight sounds indicating it still hurts.

" Sorry okay, I pray it heal up within some months " she said and I smiled.

" You know my joy..."I asked.

" What"

" I would be spending time with a no boring girl.. Thanks so much" I said fondling her hands.

Just then, Jadhiel came in..

" Dad,she is still here" Jadhiel asked and I sighed.

" Wow, clap for your self baby girl, hope you had a nice bath and come let me put on your school uniform for you" Dennis suggested but Jadhiel bluntly refused .

I wonder why she doesn't likes her, Dennis is a good a kind lady, a woman of valour and so calm.

Jadhiel immediately took her school uniform and began wearing it herself, sho took her socks and wore it her self. She made mistakes in wearing her shoe but corrected it immediately.

What a darling angel!

I used my left hand to comb her hair

" Please, you guys should come downstairs for breakfast" Natalie shouted and we all went downstairs.

Natalie fed Jadhiel after begging a million times while Dennis fed me. I enjoyed it staring at her beautiful face, she really looks beautiful and adorable.

" Would you stop staring if not am gonna feed you in the nose " she said whispering and I Chuckled slightly.

" You're silly" I said and we laughed loudly .

Soon ,we were all done and Dennis packed up the plates as I followed Natalie and Jadhiel outside. Natalie would be the one taking her to school.

" Daddy, I miss your old self,I miss the part where you would feed me, take me to school, buy me ice creams and a lot" Jadhiel said and I smiled.

" Don't worry , everything would be fine, it's just a matter of time okay. Remember daddy loves you so much " I said and she gave me that heartwarming smile.

"Andi love you so much daddy" she said and I kissed her on her forehead before she entered the car fully.

" Natalie, please be careful, I don't want anything to happen to my baby girl" I warned sternly and she laughed.

" Okay,no problem. You didn't tell me to be careful right" Natalie said and I Chuckled slightly before they drove off.

Suddenly,I felt emptiness in me as if part of my heart left me, I missed her already. Hope she gets to school safely, God please protect that soul for me❤.

I went in and I had a better view of the parlor, just neatly arranged.

I heard chattering of plates and I knew Dennis was in the kitchen, I tiptoed without her knowledge and make a scary sound making her flinch in fear and a glass plate fell to the ground shattering in pieces .

I began laughing so hard.

" You scared the hell out of me Micheal, Gosh!" She said holding her chest.

" Lols, your voice was like that of a pregnant chicken" I said and she laughed so hard.

" So can I help" I said jokingly.

" You can't be serious, just go have rest, the nurse would soon be here " she said and I smiled before leaving.

Soon as she predicted, the nurse came and changed the bandaged, although it Hurts badly but I have no choice.

Truly, no boring seconds with Dennis, we played and laughed together. Even Natalie came back and met us in our laughing state, she went upstairs with an unexplainable face.

" Oh my God!, You cheated ... No no no!I won't accept that..You cheated" Dennis shouted on top of her voice.

" Wait I see how I win you ten-zero, I told you am the Grand Master in this game, you thought I was joking. Now am gonna get crown" I said and she pouted.

We were both playing the chess game, we both had a better that if anyone wins each other up till ten rounds, you are gonna take five hollandia juice pack. Funny right!

" Lols, I am just pitying you, that's why" Dennis said and I laughed so loud.

She suddenly stopped playing holding her chest,

" Dennis, are you okay" no answer, she immediately stood up and ran to the toilet and throw up. I became worried,hope she isn't sick, she came back and her face turned pale

" Dennis,are you okay"

" Yes, I am, just that am feeling sick. Maybe due to Changing of environment " she said and I went closer to her and rubbed her back.

" Am sorry it's all my fault"

" Don't say that Micheal, whatever am doing is for the friendship between us. I will see you later" she said and stood up to one of the rooms.

This is kinda strange...

I managed to go upstairs to my room only to find Natalie sitting on my bed .

" Natalie, any problem" I asked and she ignored me tapping her feet on the ground.

" Big bro, am not happy with you, I have a bad feeling about the lady you brought. I don't know why I don't like her but the way she decides to stay with you till your injury is healed up is what I don't understand.

That lady is a pretender Micheal, let her go please"

I began laughing at Natalie's words.

" You're funny Natalie, excuse me I wanna rest"

" Can't you see the handwriting on the wall, she is just after something like a desperate human...." I cut her short immediately.

" That is enough! Can I have rest......
