Chapter 36: A Dangerous Proposition
(Elara's POV)
The silence in Lucian's SUV felt oppressive as I finished applying the fresh bandage to his wounds. His eyes never left my face, intense and calculating with that predatory gleam that made my wolf bristle.
"There," I said, securing the last piece of medical tape. "It should hold until you see a proper healer."
Lucian adjusted his position, wincing slightly despite his obvious attempt to hide any sign of discomfort. "Your medical skills are impressive, little omega."
I bristled at the nickname. "I've made my position clear about that term."
His lips curved into that infuriating half-smile. "Yet your wolf responds to it."
"My wolf responds to many things she shouldn't," I retorted, packing up the remaining medical supplies.
