Finn's muffled curse hung in the air as we all stood around his hospital bed. I bit back an inappropriate laugh, trying to maintain my professional composure despite the absurdity of the situation. The Beta wolf was completely wrapped in bandages, looking more like an ancient mummy than the elegant, composed pack official I was used to seeing.
While his appearance was dramatic, my medical training allowed me to assess that his injuries weren't nearly as severe as the extensive bandaging suggested.
