The Room - Chapter 33 - Resting in the field

Liam and I walk in silence. The noise from the rest of the population is slowly fading into the background. We do not speak, not wanting to break the blissful silence. As our field comes into view, I marvel at how different it looks in the light from the street lights. Our field, still our safe place, has taken on some mystery in the lower lighting. We walk to our usual spot and sink to the ground. Liam pulls me closer and envelops me in his arms. I lose my grip on reality as I slip into a blissful sleep. I feel safe here, wrapped in Liam's arms. My last thought as I fall asleep is 'I never want this feeling to end'. When we wake up, our muscles are stiff from being in the same position for too long. As we stretch to loosen tight muscles, I spot something in the middle of the field. As so
