5 Chapter Five Armand I can’t sleep. I’m too busy thinking about the innocent girl that has been wound up and sent after me. I have no doubt that my now-defunct client made sure to arm her as well. He’s trying to force me to kill her in self-defense since I’ve refused to do it outright. He’s underestimated me greatly, along with my commitment to my code. My hands may be soaked in blood, but none of it is innocent. Mob bosses, serial killers, abusive husbands, s******c fathers—those are my targets.
