Everything stopped. Time. Everyone ceased to exist. I was disoriented for only a moment before a sense of clarity washed over me.
It was as if I were transported to another dimension. It was still once more before I suddenly cried out at the sensation that burned through me.
I was suddenly returned to earth, and I could hear Alexis' concern for me.
Someone hurriedly assured him. “It's always like this.“
“Are you sure? I mean, did you put her pregnancy into consideration?“
“Of course.“ Elder Thalia sounded offended. “She's perfectly safe. Nothing's going to happen to her or the baby.“
He only snorted. “I'm going to keep an eye on her.“
“She has to remain here for the time she's asleep. And you can't touch her, either.“
