Alexis looked at me furtively. “I'm not going to bite her head off.“
She looked at him in amusement. “What is the worst that can happen?“
I moved closer to her. “You never told us your name.“

“Come closer.“ She beckoned me even closer. She held my hand and laid her hand on my forehead.
She chanted something, and I kept my eyes closed.
The chanting finally stopped, and I opened my eyes.
Elder Thalia exhaled forcefully. “It's as I feared.“
