Lara
He paused, his eyes almost bulging out of his eyes as he took quick rapid breaths, he pulled me by the shoulders, turning me towards him.
A nervous smile rising on his face "But that's my room," he paused as I lowered my head and ohed.
"I can't take your word for it then," I said as I turned away, but he held me. A little hesitant, as he shook his head.
"That's not what I mean."
He took a break.
"No, don't worry. I'll just...just go back to that," my words became mumbled, his eyes immediately widening as he lowered his head to my view.
"Alright then. I will let you stay there for now. I will have to clean up that room somewhere, okay?" I raised my slowly to him pointing to my room — the one I lived in when I still owned the house.
"Okay," I said trying my best to sound too excited, I just killed two birds with a stone and this was only the start of it.
Just as I thought, he locked me in the room, as he walked away to take off from the other room.
I sat in the bed for a few minutes, and only after hearing his footsteps fall far away did I get up.
I pushed through the cupboard, searching carefully for the files of transfer, only with it could I overturn things. I opened each compartment I came across searching carefully but I found nothing useful.
I snapped as I attempted to close the cupboard shut before I felt a hidden compartment.
I smiled, lowering my head to look at it closer. It was really another compartment, my heart leaped in joy as I tried pulling it when I heard footsteps approaching.
My head sparked, my eyes widening as I immediately pulled my hand out wanting to close it back but I immediately paused as I heard the doorknob twist open it was already too late.
A lump formed in my throat as I pushed the cupboard close. Turning back slowly as I thought of which story to form but that really should have been the least of my concerns as I saw Helen standing there.
My heart skipped a beat.
"What are you doing there?" She asked. My lips trembled, unsure of what to say. My hands tightened into balls as I stared at her blankly.
"Move away," she shoved me aside, as she opened the cupboard searching restless while I squinted my brows at her. What was she hoping to find?
But rather...Her restless nature brought a smirk on my face. I already knew what to do now.
She turned towards me restless, bouncing as she moved closer. "What were you doing here? Tell me what you were seeking?"
I tried my best to restrain my chuckle as I stared at her restless nature, this was the same thing that I loved about her and was so proud of but now with her betrayal I couldn't say the same about it.
"I don't understand what you are saying. I was just trying to grab some painkillers. I..." I paused as I moved back, lowering my head, trying my best to look pitiful.
Her eyes grew larger, as she walked closer towards me, her gaze threatening. "Oh please, don't give me that. Only he would fall for your stupid lies..." She spat, as she walked backwards.
Her body was unstable as she stared at me with hatred, she was restless and irritable.
"I really don't understand. I didn't do anything..." I spoke in a low light tone, piercing through the silence like a lady that was used to t*****e. This for sure made her snap.
She launched closer, I retreated backwards holding my hands out in defense as she snapped.
"I know what you want to do. You want me to hurt you right don't you? Isn't that what you want to do?" Her voice was sharp which made me twitch a little, it was exactly this threatening tone I needed.
"I'm sorry but I..." My voice became muffled, fake tears swelling up in my eyes.
My ears twitched as I heard his footsteps advancing forward, a smirk formed on my face as I moved closer to her.
"I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to annoy you." I softened my voice, making it hardly audible as I feigned tears rolling down my eyes all what would make her do my will.
"Don't give me that," she scoffed, turning away. My ears raised, I heard the footsteps getting closer and I smiled, lowering my head.
"Please don't be so angry at me." I held onto her hand, looking up to her slowly, the tears slowly dropping from my eyes. "I beg you."
"I said don't give me that." She pushed me away, raising her hand up as I fell to my feet. She inhaled, raising her fingers at me. "Stop that fake act you're giving me. I already told you I won't fall for it,"
Just then the door knob twisted and a smirk rose on my face, I crawled on my knees advancing towards her slowly.
"I already said I'm sorry. I..." I paused. She glared with burning reproachful eyes. Her temper flared as she grabbed my hands tightly, squeezing it hard.
"I already told you not to talk to me like THAT!" She snapped as she threw it off. I fell to the floor resting my hands on the floor, tears raising as I stared at Evan who stood at the doorstep.
Helen turned away but paused immediately she caught sight of Evan. She moved back slowly, looking away from his eyes hastily. She swallowed looking towards me with spite.
Within my tears, I smirked as I winked at her.
Her hands balled into a fist as her eyes glinted sharply. "Evan this isn't..."
She tried to explain but he was already beyond rage. Lines formed on his forehead as he glared hard at her "What happened?"
