mother struggle and childs hardwork
This might seem like a very common thing - a mother raising her children - but not everyone understands the struggle. For everyone else, it's just a phrase, but for those who are going through it, every joy, every sorrow, all of it comes together on their shoulders. This is a story about my mother. We belong to a family that had no home to live in, no means to eat. We wore torn clothes just to cover our bodies. My maternal and paternal families were of medium status. My father lost his parents in childhood. My brothers and uncles collectively raised him. When my father grew up, he got married. My mother managed the household. Poverty hit our family hard. After a few years, I was born. Because there wasn't much knowledge or awareness in the village, and there weren't many restrictions, my brothers and sisters were also born in the village. My father went to Punjab to work because we were struggling to afford food at home. My mother used to walk 20 kilometers to work. After doing some work, she would bring some grains home and cook for us. One day, my father sent some money through a telegram. It was very difficult to survive with only 300 rupees. Six months passed by quickly. Then, my father stopped sending money. My mother was very worried. Moreover, we children were also very troubled. We couldn't express our troubles to our mother. My mother made a lot of efforts by selling grains. After harvesting, she collected some money and took all four of us siblings along with my uncle's son, Jitender, to Punjab. When Mom decided to go to Punjab, my cousin, who was older than us, came along. He came with us because he used to work with my dad and had taken leave to visit us. As soon as the opportunity arose, Mom decided to go to Punjab with him. From morning till evening, we traveled by bus and reached Punjab by evening. I was very young; just like children are excited to go somewhere, we were also very happy. We were full of joy. When we arrived home in the evening, it was quite hot. Dad was surprised to see all of us, but he was very happy. Dad's happiness seemed to know no bounds, but Mom was worried. Mom remained silent. Dad showed us love and fed us. Dad himself was living on rent; they were people from our village who were letting them stay. Now, since we had become too many to stay under one roof, it was a bit difficult to stay under one roof. So, we rented a separate house, and Mom also started working in people's homes. Mom used to go out to work in the morning; she used to come back by noon and then take care of us siblings together. Mom would come and feed us. One day, Mom took us to school. Many children in school were wearing nice clothes. Mom said, "Let me get you admitted here too. Study well." Mom folded her hands in front of the principal and got me admitted. She also got me new books. I was attentive in studying, so I was given an exam and told that if I passed, I would be promoted to the 2nd grade. I cleared the exam and was promoted to the next grade. My brother and sister were in the second grade, and I was in the second grade. My studies began. Mom used to earn money by working at home and paid our fees, and we siblings studied. Time passed, and we grew up a little. Dad used to be inebriated, and whatever money Mom earned, they would spend it all. One day, there was a big fight; Dad started hitting Mom. Suddenly, Mom also raised her hand and taught Dad a lesson. After that day, Dad never raised his hand on Mom again. Mom struggled slowly and taught us. I reached class 10, and Mom also taught my siblings and gave them tuition. My mom became a little confident that my daughter is supporting me. Dad's work was going well too. Dad quit drinking and started living properly. We were also growing up. Now, when the time came to complete school, we worked hard and got good marks. Now, the worry was about where to live. My brother, my mom, and my dad were all doing some kind of work. Mom somehow managed to send my younger brother abroad. Mom cried a lot because she had never sent her child out before. She also managed to pay off the debt of my brother's house, which we had built with a little loan. Now, the house was built for living, and I joined college. I completed college in a few days.
