Selene was hanging of Endy's shoulder punching at his back. Endy's face reveled he was pissed off but tried to be a bigger person and not react.
"Where did you find her? What's going on?" Romeo asked as he approached them. They separated a few hours ago and things were relatively fine between them so this shitshow was strange.
"He kidnapped me!", Selene yelled.
"I didn't kidnap her, I found her hurt on a street. She was fighting with a group of guys and I'm pretty sure they had some godly powers.", Endy explained managing to stay calm.
"Exactly! I was kicking their butts but then this asshole appears and I lost my powers again! Put me down already!"
Endy slid her off his shoulder and stepped away from her as she swung in his direction.
Humiliation and anger burned in her but she was powerless again and couldn't really hurt him. It didn't mean she wasn't willing to try!
Her side hurt like hell, she could feel all of her injuries much more in this state and she couldn't heal fast. In fact, it hurt more than hell. Her vision was swimming but she gritted her teeth. She was not going to faint in front of him for the second time today!
Endy figured out that she could feel her ribs now that adrenaline rush ended and noticed beads of sweat forming on her forehead. She was in pain but was too stubborn to ask for help or stop fighting him.
When she staggered he didn't try to hold her, not because he didn't want to, every thought screamed in his head to help and protect, but because he knew she would start again.
"Romeo, could you do me a favor?" Endy asked.
Romeo was standing by the door watching the scene in front of him in silence, "Sure."
"Could you take her somewhere to lie down? And give her some painkillers, she's gonna need them..."
Selene just growled in response, barely able to stand up straight. She was sweating.
"It's not gonna help.", Romeo said frowning, "This is not far enough."
"Far enough for what?" Selene asked barely audible.
"For you to get your powers back." Endy answered cutting Romeo off.
"We don't need to do the test, Romeo. I agree with you."
Selene looked at the both of them, "What are you two talking about?"
"It doesn't matter."
"We agree that he's Helios.", Romeo explained.
"Can you take her right away far enough from me?" Endy asked looking at Selene.
"Actually, you know what, you two stay here, I'm leaving.", he said as he turned around and started for the door.
"No!", Selene screamed at his back and tried to go after him but that was a mistake. Her ribs protested and she lost her balance. Before her head could hit the floor two pairs of hands were under her.
Endy scooped her up, not allowing Romeo to hold her and the latter smiled internally at that.
"Don't go...", she was half unconscious but she clung to him like her life depended on him. Maybe it did, a thought crossed her mind as she was falling into a healing sleep.
Endy just knelt there unable to move or to think of anything but the girl in his arms
He wasn't sure what was the connection he had to her but he was now sure that this between them was the matter of destiny. She was his. It seemed that he was only able to piss her off when she was awake and for sure she was afraid of him although she would never admit it but he was sure she was the woman for him and damned be all if he will let anyone separate them.
He looked at Romeo, "We have to jog my memory back. Not because I really need to remember but I think that my powers will awaken when I remember who I am.", he said and after a brief pause added, "I need to be strong to protect her as I'm clearly not ready to leave her."
"You don't understand Hel... I mean Endy... whatever! You don't get it!", Romeo exclaimed, "You are not feeling the effect she has on you because you have no power but when you do being around her is gonna make you feel this weak." he said pointing to Selene.
"She has the ability to heal fast, we all do, but she seems to lose all of her powers except for immortality when you come near her. The same goes for you. I was kind off expecting she will not be powerless when it's night time because the moon is her source but here she is... as human as she could be."
"So what are you saying? I have to leave her and never come back?" Endy asked feeling sick to his stomach, "Because I can't! I don't know what kind of connection we have but I'm not able to be away from her. I can feel her in my mind! Tonight I felt everything she felt even the pangs of her bloodlust! This woman... this warrior... I know I just met her but I feel, no, I know she's my everything!" Endy realized halfway through his speech that he was shouting at Romeo but he didn't care. Everything that happened today and all the things he endured over the centuries had to come out sometime and apparently this was the moment. He spent the last two thousand years not really caring about anything but this was the moment he was gonna draw the line. No more. Selene was worth the fight.
"Think of something, Romeo.", he said as he got up still holding Selene and carried her out of the room.
Romeo waited as he left the bar and he said to himself while smiling, "I was hoping you were gonna say that."

Phobos and Deimos were sitting in their office in a spacious villa they called home on a Peloponnesian island. It wasn't an accident that the twins chose to have their base on this spot. This was the location of ancient Sparta and the people who lived there were true warriors who worshipped Ares in many temples scattered around the island. Things changed since the ancient Sparta but the people who lived there were the heirs of the great warriors and still to this day upheld some of the practices of their ancestors. Not enough to give the twins major burst of power but enough to make them fierce rivals for anyone. Except that damned cursed abomination!
"We have to do something, brother!", Daimon said to Phobos.
Phobos was sitting at his desk with a girl kneeling at his feet. Her face was tear streaked but she didn't dare to make a sound. Phobos was extremely angry and mistreating humans was his therapy. Inducing fear at them was making him as happy as he could be. He watched as tears and snot streamed down her face and he petted her with his shoe. The girl sniffed trying to compose herself but it wasn't working. Goosebumps erupted all over her skin as Phobos continued to caress her in expectation of the next assault.
One of his favorite pastimes was inducing the worst fears in their minds. It was feeding him energy and he needed it after tonight. The girl was near the edge of her sanity.
Deimos was annoyed by the scene. Not because he had compassion for the girl but because he was ignored by his twin.
"Dear brother, can you leave your toy alone for a moment?", he asked menacingly.
The girl sniffed audibly as the snot that flowed from her nose was touching her upper lip and Deimos looked at her disgusted.
He got up and went to her gently patting her head. She looked up at him and squealed, "Please..."
Deimos smiled and using his hands touched the deepest corner of her mind searching for the things that were terror inducing. Snake pit? Really? She was boring. He sent her a vision through their connection and soon enough she was screaming in terror as her eyes started rolling. She was spasming on the floor and soon she started foaming at her mouth.
Phobos glared at his bother and hissed, "She was mine!"
"And now she's mine.", Deimos replied as the crumpled mess on the floor quieted down. She was still alive but her brain was fried.
"Anyway, I was asking a question and it's your fault that we have to search for a new maid."
"You never believed in delayed gratification.", Phobos smiled at his twin.
He stood up and looked at the result. of their work. The maid was now laying on the floor her eyes rolled up and drooling on his expensive carpet. He stepped on her neck and applied pressure until a sickening crack was heard. She was finally dead and he pressed his fingers at the bridge of his nose, "I don't have a plan yet but something was weird about our little cousin tonight. She was ready to finish us off but it seemed like she was out of juice in the critical moment."
"I thought so to", Deimos replied, "I didn't see the one who was running towards us but I believe that person has something to do with it."
"We should put some people around to find out what's going on. She was in Romeo's bar so I guess that's a good place to start."
"Also, we should notify him about what's happening. I'm sure he'll be interested.", Deimos was smiling although spending time with him wasn't his preference. He liked to avoid that company as much as he could. Being the god of terror and wanting to avoid somebody's company, it was saying much about their ally. But hey, the enemy of my enemy was my friend so...
Phobos winced at the mention of him and saw that his twin mirrored his expression.
"Yeah, it's not gonna be fun but how often do we get such opportunity. A helpless god-slayer? What a treat..."
He licked his lips in anticipation. He wanted to feel Selene's blood for so long he was mad with desire. Over the centuries beating her became so much more than taking revenge for the death of their father.
She was everything he hated in a woman and the need to see and hear her beg for mercy was vital for his survival.
Being the older twin he had a certain obligation to his younger brother and even his sister. Harmonia was disappointment but she was still family and he took family very seriously. He was his fathers firstborn and maybe even his favorite and he took so much pride in it. He often remembered their glory days on the battlefield. Ares was a great man. Cruel and tough but great. And to think that such a man was killed because a spoiled little brat that was Selene was maddening.
She was insignificant, her powers would be mediocre at best if it wasn't for that prophecy. Everything she had was given to her, she was a spoiled little daddy's girl and it made him sick. He didn't even notice he was gritting his teeth so hard until he felt the metallic taste of blood.
"Soon we will have our revenge."

Endy carried sleeping Selene in his small room that Romeo gave him earlier. The room was the same one she used earlier that day so it still smelled like her. He put her on the bed and removed her boots. She looked so peaceful and vulnerable laying on a huge bed. Feeling a bit like a creep he used the opportunity to study her face. She was undeniably beautiful. Her small nose and full lips that begged to be kissed were driving him insane. Of course he wasn't gonna do anything like that while she was asleep but still his eyes darted to her face. He lifted her shirt up to inspect the damage to her ribs and revealed a big nasty looking bruise on her side. He cursed under his breath. Those two who touched his woman are gonna pay.
He was a bit surprised how natural it felt to claim her as his woman but he didn't try to correct himself.
It felt right to enjoy in his newfound possessiveness.
He layed down beside her and took her small hand in his. She would never let him do that if she was awake so he enjoyed in the touch.
Soon enough, exhaustion was starting to eat away at him and his eyes fluttered shut as he let sleep claim his conciosnes. His mind was filled with swirling purple colour and splashes of blue liquid on a white cloth.
In front of the door, Romeo was waiting patiently and listening to the even breathing of the two sleepers. The time for action was now.
