She died. I received the call earlier today. “Hello.” “Yes, this is her” “She what”? I dropped the call and abruptly found my way to the ground without hurting myself. My eyes went watery; I felt angry and tired. My heart was racing faster than my mind. I hoped this wouldn’t have happened, not now at least. I could have listened to her and heard what she had to say. “What’s wrong?” Alison asked.
