Chapter Five

It's been Three days since Daniel and Miriam started using the medicine they were given. They hope the medicine works out in their favour this time around after being to several places in search of a child.

Daniel's POV:

"Thanks man for your help. I hope this time everything works out in our favour. I really can't continue seeing my wife crying all the time. It's really hard for me, but then there's nothing I can do". I told my friends Jason and Ackson.

" I understand you man. I also hope everything works out this time around". Jason replied.

"Honestly your situation is really hard. But if it does not work out, maybe you should go ahead with your mom's plan of marrying another wife". Ackson adviced.

"What! How can you even think of that Ackson after seeing what I'm going through right now?? Can you hear yourself, man??". I replied with anger.

" Man I'm just trying to help you". Ackson replied.

"Well, your advice is ridiculous". I replied. " How many wives do you have Ackson??". I added.

"I only have one wife". Ackson replied confidently.

" See! Then why the f**k do you want me to have more than one wife??". I shouted.

"Dude I was just trying to help you out after looking at your situation. And anyway there would be no problem if you remarry. your wife can't conceive. That's a solid reason to have two wives". Ackson replied again.

" Ackson can you hear yourself?? Why would you be this cruel when you know the situation is beyond their control honestly??". Jason shouted.

"Man, I'm just being honest here. I mean it's clear that your wife can't conceive, so why the f**k are you getting upset?". Ackson replied with anger.

" Come on dude, how talk like that about your friend's wife despite everything that's going on, really??". Jason said to Ackson.

"You know what? I'm through here. I'm done! Just leave my office please!". I said this after being quiet and listening to what Ackson said.

" If you don't mind, I would like to be alone". I added when I saw that Jason wanted to remain in my office to comfort me. After this conversation, all I wanted was to remain alone cause right now I've got a lot going on in my mind.

Jason and Ackson left my office and I sat on my chair with so much pain and anger. After everything that's going on, is that how my friend could come out really?
