Charity didn't even know where Harold went, she was crying that Harold was mad at her. She didn't even know that Harold would react that way. Charity slowly fell on the floor, and she didn't know how many minutes or hours she spent on the floor.
Charity can't believe that Harold will react violently, but she understands because Harold wants another child. The wrong part is that she didn't even tell Harold that she was scared that maybe, Harold may reject Charles after they conceive a child. And she doesn't like it, she doesn't want Charles to suffer as she experienced at her stepmother's hands.
