The baby
Lina Morris was born in the Colin home, a baby so beautiful and so eagerly awaited by the family that, that night, the sky was overcast and even the moon was less illuminated. It was a strange night.
Announcing something more important than the plan behind the birth that night, the little wolf was born already having to fight for her life.
Mrs. Elizabete was pushing non-stop, her face turning red, and her sister was between her legs, forcing her to pull the little baby out. The smell of the room began to permeate. Elizabeth was afraid, feeling her strength diminishing, her head spinning and she could feel the pain breaking her body into a thousand pieces.
There was not much care between the two. It seemed that labor was being forced at a time when no one else was home except the two of them.
"Come on, Elizabete. This child has to be born tonight! I can already see its head!"
She pushed hard. The scream came out of her throat, hurting her insides and making her feel even more pain.
"I can't do it, I can't!"
The scream came out choked. Elizabeth could feel her daughter begging to get out. Her body was drenched in sweat, and her husband wasn't even there. She loved him. It was her dream to give him a daughter.
But why did it have to hurt so much?
"Push yourself, Elizabeth! Aren't you woman enough to bear this child?"
Elizabeth did not have a good relationship with her sister, despite wanting to help her a lot and even assisting her after she married Charles Colin. Elisa was selfish, petty and had no compassion for anyone, not even her sister.
Elizabeth was unaware of her sister's intentions when she approached her months ago, as soon as she became pregnant. Driven by jealousy, Eliza decided she would take her sister's place.
Elisa had given birth to her daughter two nights ago, in hiding, ready to give birth to that baby and then have her daughter take the place of the Colin family's needy baby. Swapping the babies.
When they all arrived, it would be her daughter who would be the sole Colin heir. She could finally get her sister out of the way and take everything that was rightfully hers. She would be the woman who would take care of the baby and want her husband.
"Get a doctor, I won't make it. I don't have time, Eliza. I'm begging you."
Not even pleading moved the woman with compassion.
"Stop being so weak. Push harder, Elizabete! This baby has to come out."
It was such violence. Elizabete didn't know if she was crying because she couldn't get her daughter out or because she had no more help, even after all the preparation for that moment.
Everything hurt her. The pain made her wish for a shot of morphine or to just pass out and never feel anything again.
Her chest was pounding and tightening now. The morbid feeling took over her body; the scream came out of her throat. Every corner of the Colin mansion heard the agonizing scream; it was a shame there was no one to hear and stop what was happening.
Eliza plastered a wicked smile on her face when she saw the baby being pushed out; she turned around and then pulled him out.
The baby had been born.
Elizabete eased the pain and then felt a sensation coursing through her body. Her chest ached. But she still saw her daughter in her sister's arms.
"You're so beautiful," she felt her throat dry and her vision become blurry. "What's happening, my daughter is born." Elizabete still saw her daughter's face, all dirty, but with her father's nose. Her eyes poured tears as she tried to look at her daughter. "Let me hold her, please."
"She needs to disappear, Elizabete. I'll make sure she goes far away from this house."
That finished her off.
Her heart blended with her animal nature as a werewolf. Her wolf felt the pain. Paleness took over her. Her body had exhausted itself.
But she was looking at the baby as she departed, gazing at the little child created with love and a promise that only Elizabete knew.
The moon had revealed incredible plans for the little white wolf.
As she left, she understood why the moon had told her, whispering in her ear. Elizabete wouldn't have the chance to see her daughter grow, but she knew her future.
She would be the chosen one of the alpha.
