They drove for hours in absolute silence. One would think that they’d discuss their plan, exit strategies, anything… but no. They just sat there, staring ahead as the mind-numbing rhythm of the road thumped below them. Every mile they got closer to their destination made their bodies tense a little more until they were both balls of anxiety and nerves. But still, neither one spoke. As if the skies knew the gloom in their hearts, a fog began to descend on the world around them.  It was the longest drive of their lives, and it was shrouded in mystery and fear.  Yet somehow, they finally arrived. Out of the gloomy mist appeared a sprawling complex of nondescript concrete buildings, guarded by giant chain-link fences and a booth with a candy-cane colored pole.  Bradley passed the entryway
