Over the next week, I deep cleaned our apartment. I went room by room. Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dishes, laundry, changing the beds; I even went through our closets and got rid of clothes that didn’t fit me or the kids. I didn’t touch Jonah’s clothes because he hates throwing out anything for any reason.
I put all the clothes in bags and set them to the side to donate. Valentine’s Day was the following week, so when I went to do our grocery shopping, I also picked up gifts for Jonah and the kids.
We had our visit with the kids Tuesday at the trampoline park, as discussed with Kaci. The kids had so much fun jumping around and doing tricks on the trampolines. Before they left with Kaci, Jaxson and Illianna had asked if we could get them cards to hand out to their classmates.
