Brookes choice

Brooke woke up feeling very sad about how her life was going, feeling like she hadn't really amounted to anything no boyfriend, still living with her parents, in a job she has grown to hate. she was going through the same thing day in day out, getting up going to work coming home sleeping, and all back to it the next day this had been going on for so long it has become the new normal, and Brooke has had enough of it now. she woke up the next day thinking what could I do to change my life to become a happier person, and she worked it all out she was going to move out find a new job and even sign up for online dating, so she sends her mum a message calling for a family meeting when she gets home from work that evening. Brooke was so fed up with her job she couldn't wait to finish work today, she was so happy to leave to sort out the family meeting when she got home her mum and dad were waiting at the table with a lovely home-cooked meal her favorite spaghetti bolognese. "good evening honey how was work?" mum asked inquisitively  Brooke replied "same as always " Brooke sounded defeated without any excitement in her voice. we went on to eat our meal and had a lovely conversation, once we finished our dessert we started our meeting. "so darling what is with the meeting today?" asked dad, "don't you guys know what it's about, it has  been a long time coming" Brooke replied, "well, honey I think I know what it is about but I need to hear it from you don't want you to feel it forced upon you" explained mum. Brooke went on to explain how although she loved her mum and dad dearly she also needed her own space, and how she felt they deserved their own space and that going forward it would be best for her to find her own place, she also told them how unhappy she was working at the diner and that she needs to find a new job. "well I'm glad you've finally worked it out me and your father have been saying for a while now how unhappy you seem to be"  exclaimed mum, Brooke just looked up and they all smiled at each other, it amazed Brooke to learn they all knew the truth,  "no matter how much you try to hide it Brooke love we know our daughter" mum said. we went on to clean up after tea and Brooke went to her room to sort some details out, She's found a website that helps people find housemates. Brooke was just about to set up an online dating profile when her dad poped in, "knock-knock you got a minute honey"  " yes dad come in"  nick came in and explained there is a job going at the local supermarket and gave Brooke the phone number as the manager is nicks work friends nephew, thank you dad ill give him a call " goodnight dad"  " goodnight Brooke" dad replied  Brooke went on to finish her online dating profile and set up an account on the website she found then went to sleep feeling rather good tonight.
