Meeting Again

Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3

*DEVON MCKNIGHT*

Oh my gosh! I'm so excited in this 'new job' of mine, William Fox himself called me, that means  I am his personal pick.

I went to the city, a two hour drive. I have to wake up earlier than everybody though. I arrived there just in time. I asked for the office of William Fox.

"Good morning sir." I greeted him.

"Oh hi, good morning." He smiled, a very bright smile that can melt my heart. "So I will introduce myself personally, I am William Fox, and you will be working with me."

"Yes sir, nice to meet you, and thank you for hiring me."

"That's not a problem." He smirked. I screamed inside, the cutest smirk ever!!

"So this is your first day, but then I will tell you the Do's and Dont's."

So he told me all the rules that he set for his office. He oriented me about the company, until lunch time. That was tiring first day.

"That would be all for this morning, so you can take your leave and maybe do things you want to do. You will officially start tomorrow, I will give you these files so you can study them later."

"Ok sir, thank you so much." We shook our hands, and I left.

While I was on my way down the elevator from the 15th floor, it stopped on the 10th floor, and guess who entered, Yup the 'Jerk' himself, in the flesh. Oh God why is this happening to me? I tried to lower my face so that he won't recognize me.

This is so unfortunate for me, we were the only people in the elevator. Why is it taking so slow to go down. 'bang'. A scary sound made me jump. We stopped!

"Woah what happen?" I said talking to no one.

"I think were trapped." He said smiling, but his smile fade away when he saw my face. "You are that monkey girl." His eyes glared at me.

"Excuse me?" I am raising my eyebrow. "Oh yeah and you’re the Jerk CEO?" I don't really want to insult him now that I'm going to work in this company.

"Look who's talking, I can really tell that you hate me." He smirked, with malice, and then looked at me and down. Then I noticed that my hand is holding his small finger. Oh crap! I got scared when the elevator stopped and unconsciously grab unto him. This is so embarrassing.

I removed my hand from him, biting my lower lip. Blood raising through my cheeks as I blush. I can hear him chuckle. This is going to be bad, I'm stuck in this elevator with the biggest 'jerk' in this world could ever had.

I broke the silence. "So what are we going to do? Is it still not fixed?" I asked him.

"Relax, this system will automatically re-start, so minutes from now we are free, or you want to stay stuck here with me?" He said, smirking, while leaning his head towards mine. Thank God I got the courage to push him, it was hard because of his hypnotizing eyes.

"Shut up! Don't be so full of yourself." I rolled my eyes.

There were silence; I was waiting for the elevator to be fixed. Thirty minutes later nothing happens, I am starting to hyperventilate. He seems to notice it.

"Are you alright?"

"No, I am claustrophobic. I'm scared with close spaces." I said while catching my breath.

"Ahh so what do I do?" He got confused, not knowing what to do with this case.

"I don't know either, but I need air."

"Hello? Is anyone there? Please help us. Somebody is sick here." He pressed the help button, trying to talk to the people on the other line.

"Yes sir we’re very sorry, we are trying our best here, it seems that the system were hacked." The voice on the other line said.

"Ok just do it quickly."

"Yes sir,"

"Do you..3.want to move closer to me?" He asked me, for the first time I saw him being shy.

I moved closer to him, Just an inch separates us. We were silent once again.

"So why are you here again?" he broke the silence.

"I got hired." I calmed down.

"What, he hired you?! " he exclaimed.

"Is there something wrong with that?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Well after what you did to me...I was hoping he wouldn't hire you."

"That has nothing to do with him, you're the one who’s acting like a JERK!" Now we are facing each other, and being an inch away, our face are like half an inch away.

"Who’s being a jerk?" I think I hit he's ego.

"You, who else would it be?" I'm still composing myself, trying not to lose.

"You are so going to regret what you just said there monkey girl." He smirked again.

"Why, What are you going to do? fire me?" I said sarcastically.

He grinned, then he kissed me. My first kiss after a year of having no boyfriend. Oh my gosh. I was punching him, but he grabbed my wrists and hold me even tighter, his kiss became more forceful...then it becomes passionate. I almost forgot about him being a jerk it was ...amazing, I haven't felt this kind if kiss before.

He was so into it...ok fine, we were into it, when the door opened. The people were like shock to see us, making out. Crap this is so not like me. We stood up, composed ourselves.

"Ok, the show's over." He said, and walked like nothing happen. Jerk! But I’m not finish yet!

“Hey!” I shouted and ran at him, the second he turned he’s head, my punch goes directly into his god-made-perfect face! “That’s what you get for kissing me and for acting like nothing happen.”

“You little monkey, Don’t you ever walk across me again or you will regret it.” I heard him shouting in pain as I ran towards the exit as fast as I can.

*BRANDON WALTER*

That bastard! This is the second time she punched me...in public! This is so going to ruin my reputation. I will take my revenge on you monkey girl. Beware!!

I walked out of the building after cleaning my face. I can see a bruise on it. Damn her. I made my way to the place where my car is parked. My phone rang, it’s from my attorney.

“Yes?”

“Sir, I’m just going to remind you that this is your first day, in your community service.”

“Yeah, yeah I know, I’m about to go there now.”

“Oh and sir, you will do a community service at a kinder school as a P.E teacher.”

Did I hear it right? Me? Teaching kids? As a P.E teacher? What kind of joke is this?

“Sir?”

“What the … Why didn’t you do anything about that?” I Shouted at him.

“Sir you already agreed to it, you yourself signed the papers.” I can feel that he’s trembling.

“What? Argh!” I just hang up.

This month will be like hell. I just hope that this will pass real quick.

I drove to River Valley, my old town. I wonder if the people there are the same. Probably not.

I arrived after 2 hours of driving, the scenery is still wonderful as always, I kind of miss this place.

I entered into the office of the principal. An old man greeted me.

“Hi, I would like to ask for the principal in this school.” I asked politely, I mean he’s old.

“What do you want son?” He just smiled at me.

“Are you the principal?” My eyebrow rose.

“hahaha Why doesn’t it suit me?” He was trying to c***k some joke.

“haha oh I’m sorry.” Just go with the flow.

“May I help you then?”

“Ahh yeah, I’m Brandon Walter, I am the one who has to do community service in your school.”

“Ohh I see, so you’re the naughty boy huh.” He smirked.

“Yeah I guess naughty is nice.”

He lead me to his office.

“I would like to offer you a deal.” I said as I sat on the chair in front of his desk. “You see, I’m a very busy man, and I really need to work in the city, So how much do you wamt me to pay, so that you can sign the papers as proof that I did my community service?” I asked.

“hahaha you’re funny.” The old man just laughed at my offer.

“This is a very good offer for your school. I mean it looks like it needs serious renovation.” I said while looking around the place, they seriously needed one.

“I would love to help you though, but I’m not charge with your papers.”

“What? I mean what do you mean?” I said.

“The owner of this kindergarten is a female, she will be here, she’s running a little late, but you can tell your concerns about her.”

“Oh ok, is she your wife?”

“hahaha I did hope for that, but unfortunately, I’m too gorgeous for her.” I kind of chuckled when he said that.

We waited for like forever. Until I heard a car went inside the facility.

“Is that her?” I asked him.

“Yeah, that’s her car.”

I waited for her to enter the office. I can hear her footsteps echoing in the hallway.

“I’m sorry I’m late Mr. Brown, I just had a little run from a jerk I met in the…” She didn’t finish her sentence when she saw me.

We were both in shocked to say something. The old man whom I thought the principal got curious of what’s happening.
