-Cassandra POV- That morning, the Alpha Dining room of the Moondance Pack was a picture of warmth and comfort. The room buzzed with the energy of everyone present, and the familiar scents of breakfast created an ambiance of home. Lila, Gloria, Eliza, Isabella with Marisol, and myself were already seated when Gabriel, Matthew, Thomas, and Markus joined us after training. A mix of nostalgia enveloped me -longing for my old pack yet filled with anticipation for my new role as Luna of the Blood Moon Pack. "Ah, Cassandra, the prodigal doctor returns!" Markus greeted me with a warm smile, his voice rich with good humor. "How does it feel to be back?" I laughed. "It feels like coming home, Markus." I looked around at my friends and family. "I must admit, being Luna is growing on me." Gloria smiled knowingly. I truly admired her when she was Luna of the Moondance Pack. I will be happy if I can be half the Luna she was. I confessed to Izzy. You have pure Alpha blood, my friend. You will be up to meet this challenge. Izzy replied confidently. Ever the joker, Thomas said, "I bet it's quite boring now that I've left that place." His comment elicited a round of chuckles, and I playfully retorted, "Funny, no one mentioned you. They might have already forgotten all about you!" Matthew asked, "We certainly miss your expertise, Doc. The pack hasn't been quite the same. I understand the interviews were fruitful yesterday?" I nodded, smiling. "I think we have found my replacement." I looked at Lila, who nodded to confirm. "Matthew, we should have a new doctor soon." She said. The breakfast spread was hearty and inviting. Freshly baked bread, warm from the oven, sat next to bowls of steaming porridge. A vibrant array of fruits added color to the table. The rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the soothing scents of herbal teas woke our senses and intellect. "So, Doc," Gabriel began with a warm, inviting tone, "how are things at the Blood Moon Pack? Any new challenges as Luna?" I smiled, spooning some porridge onto my plate. "Every day brings something new, Alpha. It's a constant journey of learning and adapting. But it's a role I'm growing into. I'm enjoying being able to design and help create the pack hospital. My pack deserves good care, which they have gone without for far too long." "Call me Gabriel, we're family now." He smiled warmly. "Then you can call me Cassandra." He nodded in reply. "That's fantastic, Doc. It seems you can't get away from your passion for helping others." Matthew added. Isabella nodded in agreement, then turned the conversation to a lighter note. "Remember the great snowball fight last winter? I believe Thomas still owes me a rematch." Thomas, who had been quietly enjoying breakfast, looked up with a grin. "Only because you cheated, hiding behind your mate!" Laughter filled the room as we all recalled the incident. Moments like these brought a sense of camaraderie and joy to our gatherings. Matthew then steered the conversation back to more serious matters. "Speaking of challenges, the pack has been working on reinforcing our borders. We've been worried about the increased activities at Blood Moon. We're keeping an eye on things after what happened to you, Doc." Gabriel listened intently, his expression turning thoughtful. "Good work, Matthew. We must stay vigilant. The safety of our pack and our allies is our top priority." As the meal continued, so did our discussions, weaving through various aspects of pack life and remembering past events. "Remember the time when Doc tried to teach us yoga?" Thomas interjected, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "I think my muscles ached for days after that." Markus, usually more reserved, chuckled at the memory. "Seeing everyone trying to balance in those poses was quite the sight." "I still stand by the health benefits of yoga," I said, defending my earlier enthusiasm for the practice. "Maybe I should hold a session again while I'm here." The men raised their hands in submission, shaking their heads to convey they didn't want a battle or a yoga course. The conversation then shifted to the upcoming Luna Ceremony. "It's going to be an incredible event," Eliza mused, her creative mind already visualizing the setup. "Cassandra, your ceremony will blend the old and the new, just like you." Isabella nodded in agreement, adding, "It's a celebration of your pack's evolution, and Cassandra, you are at the heart of it." As breakfast concluded and the men excused themselves, the atmosphere shifted to one of sisterhood and shared experiences. Lila, Gloria, Eliza, and Isabella stayed behind with me, their presence a comforting reminder of the strong bonds within the pack. "We have a lot to plan," Lila said, her voice filled with excitement. "This ceremony is going to be unforgettable." With her years of experience, Gloria offered practical logistics advice. "We need to ensure everything runs smoothly." Isabella's eyes sparkled with ideas. "I've been sketching some designs for the decor. I want it to reflect your elegance and power as a Luna." Ever the organizer, she pulled out a notepad. "Let's start making a list. We have decorations, guest lists, and the ritual itself to plan." The table was a flurry of activity as we dove into the details. The Luna Ceremony was more than a mere event; it was a pivotal moment in my life and a significant occasion for the Blood Moon Pack, who had endured so much under the previous Alpha. "Auntie, what are your thoughts on the attire?" Lila asked, turning her attention to me. "It must blend strength and grace, representing you as the new Luna of the Blood Moon Pack." I pondered for a moment; the significance of the attire was not lost on me. "I'm thinking something traditional, yet with a modern twist. But for my dress..." Gloria nodded thoughtfully. "What do you have in mind, dear?" "I want something simple and white…" I said shyly. I didn't want anything extravagant. "Something to remind you of your home in the Lapland of Finland?" Lila asked me. Her mother would be so proud of the woman she grew up to be. "Exactly," I said, feeling the excitement build within me. We then turned our attention to the ceremony itself. We discussed each step of the ritual at length, with Gloria and Lila providing insights into the traditional aspects. At the same time, Isabella and I focused on how to make it resonate with the entire pack. "The lighting of the fire is a key moment for the Blood Moon Pack ritual," Isabella noted. "It's the symbol of your pack's spirit and endurance." "And the words spoken during the ceremony should be powerful, reflecting the pack's journey and the future we're embracing," I added, feeling the gravity of the occasion. As we continued, I felt a deep connection with these remarkable women. Their passion and dedication were not just inspiring; they were the driving force behind the success of our packs. We were weaving a tapestry of tradition, innovation, and shared purpose, creating a ceremony that would be etched in the memories of all who attended. As our time together planning and scheming drew close, a sense of accomplishment and excitement filled the room. We had laid the groundwork for a ceremony that promised to blend mystical energy and profound transformation, a celebration of a new beginning for myself and the pack. Gloria smiled, her eyes reflecting years of wisdom. "It's the start of something beautiful, a journey of unity and strength. I'm happy for you, dear." Isabella gathered her sketches, her face beaming with satisfaction. "I can't wait to see it all come together. It's going to be magical." She closed her notepad, her organizational skills having steered us through a productive session. "We've got a great plan in place. Now, let's bring it to life." "Thank you, ladies! I finally feel confident about this event! Now to get back home and put this plan into motion." I felt so much love for all these women. "And I'll see you all soon!" Only five more days before everyone would join us at the Blood Moon Pack for the bachelorette and stag parties.
