MOMENTS

He pondered, from that day onward,".who could it be?, where was he?, Is he of a high class?"....A knock on the door interrupted Nero's thoughts. It was Ella.

" hey bby boy", she called out and gave him a hug, but he pushed her away almost immediately and walked towards the window.

Ella sighed and rolled her eyes before walking close to him

" what's the problem?"

" My mum is sick", he said, his eyes fixed outside the beautiful scenario of nature.

" Your manager told me. Is it still the heart problem?"

" yah. Its eaten deep, she might die anytime soon"

" don't say that. I know it has really destroyed the heart but your mum is a strong woman, trust me, she'll sail through peacefully but!, you have to be there for her,your all she has"

" well not anymore "

" what?"

" she says i have junior brother "

" wait.. what?, why didn't she tell you all this while?, i mean why now?"

" you know my dad abandoned her when i was five, she was heavily pregnant then, so after she gave birth she sold him out and used the money to provide for us. I didn't know she did that . she lied to me that she lost the baby.", tears were already rolling down his eyes

" I'm sorry ", she held his hands, " i'm here for you "

" the baby suffered Ella. My brother is suffering "

" maybe not. He might be doing well, you never can tell"

Nero wiped the tears

" you shouldn't see me crying ", he faced Ella

She smiled

" why?"

" i'm not a baby "

" shhhh.....she placed a finger on his lips.....you're my baby"

He pulled her to a hug

" Have you eaten yet?"

" nope. Remember i'm on a diet"

" when will you retire from music?, you've never tasted my fries all in the name of this nonsense diet of a thing "

" c'mon babe, i'm still too young to retire.But guess what?,I'll break the rules and eat your meal today "

" For real?", she smiles broadly

" Anything for my bby girl"

" awwn. That's my boy".

Lisa sat on her bed, clicking her tongue, she bit her lower lips then sighed, after Austin announced that Ethan was here. Few minutes later her mum called on her to come down for lunch.

They all sat and ate in silence till Mr Donald broke the silence.Ethan laughed at almost every slight joke, he was enjoying his moments with the family, while lisa was ruminating about the whole thing in her head...how can he not feel anything after what happened last time?, i mean he's not even stealing glances at me, acting all patched up like nothing really happened. Orr am i overthinking the whole situation?", she sighed

" Right lisa?", Austin asked and everyone glared at her as their smiles faded away

" what?", she asked looking astonished

" Is anything the problem?", her mom inquired

" no!, no!, i'm cool", she feigned a smile

" It was really good spending time with someone like you Ethan. I'd love to see you often..."

" ..often?!.", lisa shouted.." Come on dad you don't even know him and besides he's not a family friend ", she scoffed.

Ethan knew she was jealous and he liked it.He smiled.
