The arranged beginning

First day in work

I don’t want the same thing that happen with Chloe should happen again. I can see her all day and time, it wasn’t much of a deal moreover none of them knew she’s my wife and if they later did, I do not care

“Good Morning sir” she greets naturally and I reply as she follows me inside my office

“My morning coffee?” I raise a brow as I look at the table and it’s not there

“I don’t know how to make it” she mumbled under her breath

I know she has a lot to learn, mostly people like her barely knows how to do anything cause they have maids and many people to help, now that she married to me I also don’t allow her to do anything. That’s why she wants to try something different and am glad I gave her the opportunity.

When I went to the dining room to eat this morning, I noticed every where is silent. I had to ask Rudy where she is before I was told that she left earlier without eating her breakfast

About the coffee, I can just call anyone to make it for me “You don’t need …..” I was cut off by her words

“Am going to bring it right away” immediately she was out of the office like she disappear

She’s just trying hard more than I expected. I thought and smile

Maeve POV

“How am I supposed to make it? I don’t know what to do with the cup. Am I supposed to pour water or what am I supposed to do?” I am bothered by the coffee machine cause all I did was to stare at it.

And I left my phone on my desk, I should have brought it along, I will just search for the process on YouTube.

“Why are you staring at the coffee machine?” Lana asked me as she also took a cup to make a coffee

“I don’t know how…” i said but i remembered something

That’s right, she might be good in making it. We met through the incident of coffee too

“Can you help me with this?” I smile innocently and she looks confused

“You mean the coffee right?” she pointed and I nod

She was wondering why I don’t know how to do it. I had to tell her it’s for boss and it’s my first day so I don’t know how he likes his coffee

I study every process she did when she was making it, every morning I had to make a coffee for him. I know I had worked as a secretary before but dad don’t take coffee and the easy part of it is that he don’t send me to makes some photocopies and some things cause he knew I don’t know how to do it, so it’s someone else work but It’s really exhausting working as his secretary too, dad can yell at me as he wanted cause he’s my father and he takes me along wherever he goes like when he wants to purchase his personal stuff to play game sometimes even his own even to his friends house because I did well in my education so he proud of that and he boasts of me to every single person.

“It’s done” I smile as I drop it on his table. He was with a paper in his hand so when I entered he has to look up.

“Thank you, you can go” he said shortly and I went back to my desk

I was chatting on phone with both of my friends, they like to FaceTime me but I told them am busy. All I did was giggle at their jokes and they kept sending me pictures of where they went to.

I picked up the telephone “Good afternoon this is Maeve from the Will’s, how may I help you?” I said and the caller explained what he wanted

“Oh! Alright.Thanks for contacting us” I replied with a smile

I don’t need to go and knock on his door to tell him right? It’s not necessary, I can just call him here

“Sir you are expected at the executive party which is going to hold by this weekend”

“We are invited?” He says with a surprise tone that I have to look through his office to see his reaction. Why is he happy that he was invited, Is it a important party

“Yes, judging by your schedule, you are less busy on Saturday so there won’t be any problem” I said as I go through his schedule.

“That’s good” he commented

“Come to my office” he adds I hang up then stand up immediately. I knocked on the door as an act of courtesy

“You called for me” standing upright in front of him

“You can sit down” he said and I did. He gave me some of the paper in his hand and I wondered what to do with it

“You need to make soft copies of this, and also print out the original copies too, I need it before the evening”

He’s such a workaholic guy, I don’t know why he works so hard. He’s such a boring guy aside from his handsomeness. How am I supposed to make copies and also print when I don’t know how to use it a printer in the first place.

“You can just give anyone out there to help you with it” he told me. Awwn! That’s so considerate of him

That’s right he has a meeting with his father this afternoon, I should be the one to remind him

“Sir you have a meeting with the CEO of the wide world company by 3:00pm”

All he did was to stare at me and I felt uncomfortable. Is it because he was thinking of how will his father react if he sees me working with him, I hope he doesn’t hate it but his gaze

“I-is there something on my F-face” I stuttered as I touch my face but his gaze is still on me.

“Alright” he said and stand up

He was at the entrance of the door and I was still sitting there thinking of the reason why he stare

“Are you not going?” He look back and I quickly stand up and we started walking together.

On our way eight guards join us and they follow us with another car. I sit beside him while he was so focused on his phone reading something I don’t know.

He’s not talking to me like we knew each other, I don’t think thats necessary. I only told him not to make it obvious that we are married but not like this.

I quickly pick up cause I don’t want to distract him, I forgot to put my phone on silent.

“Ella, what is it?” I asked making her know that i’m in a hurry

“Are you that busy? It wasn’t like you are working or something” she mumbles and I roll my eyes

“Do you know that we went to club yesterday night but we met one cute guy there and he asked of you but I don’t know if you knows him” she said in wonder

Guy? In the club? I don’t think I know…….. oh!

“That handsome guy!” I shouted making Myles look at me for the first time in the car

“Am Sorry!” I whispered my apologies

“Yes, he’s so handsome so I have to wonder if he’s telling the truth cause you barely have any friends not to think of a guy. But I also remember your husband is also handsome so there’s probability of you guys knowing each other” she giggled

“What are you saying! Anyway it’s none of your concern” I snapped

“So does he tell you his name or do you give him my number” I ask with an excited voice

“He said his name was….Al..Al something” she hesitated

“Why won’t you remember his name! I mean it’s has simple as ABC” I pouted and I heard her laugh

“Am just kidding, why will I forget that handsome guy name! It’s Alex”

“Alex” I mumbled with a smile

“Ella you are amazing, thank you” I blow kisses on the phone and she kept laughing

“Bye” I said and I hang up.

I look at my side to see Myles staring deep at me with a low chuckle that send chills to the bone
