Maeve??

“Thank for your cooperation Mr Myles”

“I will be looking forward for your support” I replied and I left the meeting conference.

Today is going to be so stressful, I went inside my private jet so that I can meet the interviewers in time.

Maeve POV

“Hi everyone, I’m John. You guys are here for the interview to be a secretary but out of all of you, we are going to choose three people with the best CV for the interview with the CEO”

All of the people there started murmuring realizing that they don’t even have the chance to be interviewed if their Cv is not okay, out of a lot they are interviewing only three. Am pretty confident at first but I don’t know that they are choosing only three candidates to be interview.

“Am going to call the names so the person I call should move beside me so others will go home” John said and people got scared

“Luca Kenneth” he called and the guy quickly rush beside him

“Conor McIntyre”

He pushed the guy beside and he walks arrogantly to where John is, people started booing him.

They are both guys and I felt nervous cause there is vacant for only one person and I don’t know if it’s for me. I hold my hand to together and started praying, I really wants to work here, beside him.

“And the last person is……” he hesitated making a lot of people worried and nervous

“Maeve carter!” When he called my name I shouted in happiness and move beside him

“Wow! You are the only female here, we have never seen a female with this kind of CV maybe that why he never had a female secretary in the first place” he commented and they clapped for me despite of them being sad of not seeing the opportunity to work here.

“Thank you” I just keep grinning at myself

“This way” he said and we followed

“You guys are going to sit here for just some minutes and then we are going to call you inside one by one to have a interview with the CEO” he said with a slight smile and he left

I just keep smiling to myself, I have never did anything like this, I feels like average person right now. The competition between a lot of people and I won, Am getting the chance of being interviewed by the boss

Boss? Wait did I just forget something? I mean the CEO …….here is Myles!!!

How can I not think about it, I thought there’s another boss and if I win. I will have to resume tomorrow so am just going to tell him this night and since I have gotten the job am sure he won’t have any choice but if he sees me now he won’t even give me any option. Am so nervous right now, all of this is ruin already.

After twenty minutes we are told that the CEO had arrived. He’s going to pass the place am sitting for sure, I had to do something, I must not be caught right now.

There he comes,

The way he walked in was like the way a lead role did in a movie with a sound track that matches the theme. He looks so handsome, clean, the body is to die for. Even the guys beside me can’t help but to drop a jaw.

When I saw he’s close I quickly look down to act like I drop something so he passed me without even noticing.

“Another phases passed, Two down one more to go” I mumbled. After like ten minutes we are told we will be called inside as we are chosen

“Luca Kenneth, you can go in” the lady said and the guy adjust his tie to make sure he looks right and he went inside.

After a while, the guy came out so they called the second guy, I don’t think this guy is serious the way he walks! His ego is so high, I can’t stand him!

I think being the last person make me feel nervous. What am I going to meet inside?

“Maeve Carter?” The lady called and i quickly realized I zone out

“Maeve Carter, you can now go in” she said with a small smile

“Oh! Thanks”

Before i opened the door I hesitated at first but then I mustered myself up and go inside

“Good morning sir, my name is Maeve carter am here for the interview” I can see the shock in his eyes he was so surprised to see me.

Why did I add that? They know am here for the interview cause if not what am I here for?

Myles POV

I had to settle down for some minutes before I told Cara to start calling them in.

The first guy had the potential in a lot of things but not to be my secretary. he is not a brave person, he can hardly answer my questions how are we supposed to go to a place and when they wants to talk to him and he starts looking like he’s dumb. I told him we are going to get back to him

The second one files makes sense he also look good but there’s something I hate about him, like he’s too overconfident. I like them to be brave, intelligent and outspoken but this one is so arrogant. When he came inside the way he walk was like he’s a king! slow like a turtle he came for a job interview not a show. I didn’t even say anything before he sit down and he was talking to me was like we are friends, which I found very disrespectful.

“Mr man, you are not qualified to be my assistant and incase you don’t know, you need to learn how to have respect before you start looking for job” I point my hand to the door which he knows what I mean

“But I …” he tries to say something

“Conor or whatever you name is! For your information, I hate your type the most. You won’t like it if I call the security” I snapped and the two employees staying at my back walk him out.

I should have told John to pick five or ten, the first one is not a good idea, the second guy is not even an option. I hope the last one will be okay cause if not we are doing this again tomorrow

“Sir, should I call the last one in?” Cara asked me cause she feels like my mood changed.

“No it fine, you can call him in?” I said and she replied with a smile “it’s her”

“Her?”

It’s rare for me to see a lady with nice Cv, I don’t say they are not intelligent but most of them that came to my office are hoes for me and their files are always not what am looking for, they just came for me not work.

I was in my thoughts when I was interrupted by the interviewer.

“Good morning sir, my name is Maeve Carter am here for the interview”

Maeve? What is she doing here? Don’t tell it’s what am thinking.

“Maeve..” I called and the employees at my side look at me curiously. She also look at me with a face that says No which means she don’t want people to know we knew each other. Oh! am suppose to be formal

“Oh! Sorry you can have your seat Miss Carter” I said and she smiles. She looks corporate and so extra beautiful today

I look at her files and I don’t even know she was this intelligent, her scores was perfect and she even has an experience as a secretary before, there’s a lot I don’t know about her.

“Miss carter, a student of business administration. I can see you have an experience as a secretary at C&L before” C&L was her dad’s company

i keep opening the files and keep getting surprised at her CV. No wonder she was chosen, there’s no company she will tender this to that will reject her

I keeps staring at her and she just look natural, How can she even act like this, I can’t cope we need sometime alone

“Both of you, you need to excuse me” I said and they leave respectfully

When I saw they left, I quickly stand up from my seat and went beside her

“What are you doing?” I asked but she didn’t look at my face

“Myles am sorry, I just need this job!” She look at me and hold my hand. I remove my hand from her cause I don’t want to be a support of this

“Need this job? What for!”

“Am just tired of staying alone, have been thinking before we got married but if my dad or mom knows then they will try to make me work in his company and it’s really exhausting”

“Who said it’s not exhausting here?” I asked and added “See this is a bad idea, do you really think am going to let you work here as my assistant?”

“But Myles you know I really deserve this opportunity, I don’t know why you won’t want me to work here!” She insisted and I had to move so close to her that we are just an inch apart

“Because we are married, Maeve you are my wife for calling out loud!” I whispered shout

Why did I even bother to add this! I keep f*****g up! She’s really driving me crazy, she f*****g irresistible. The way she looks at me made me just want to kiss her, I shouldn’t do this

I draw my hair back with my fingers and I look at her but she’s also speechless by the sentence I just made.

“Okay, Why do you want to work here, I know if you don’t want your work at C&L, you can choose another company” I said calmly.

“I just wanted to work with you, right beside you Myles” she replied with one kind of tone that I can’t explain

“But people’s going to find out, you are not Carter anymore, you are now a Wilson’s”

“It didn’t matter, Okay just for the main time our agreement is going to end, please”

“Friends help friends” she added staring deep down at me

“Hmm” I sigh

“I just don’t want to be alone, you are now my closest friend cause we live together and it won’t be bad to work together” she hold my hands

Should I consider her to be my secretary? I don’t want the same thing to happen like it did with Chloe. I didn’t give her attention cause most times am always busy.
