Conversation with Nora

It’s late already and Myles is not back at this time. Should I call him?

I sit on the chair watching a movie but am not focused. I kept thinking about today

Flashback

“Cara come to my office immediately” Myles calls her on the phone.

“What are you doing?” I whispered but he did not reply or look at my face, he’s so cold to me

“You are going to help me out for today” he said and Cara replies with a smile “Alright sir” she stood beside him and he whispered something to her

I don’t know why I feels sad at this scene but I act like nothing happened.

“Miss Maeve you can go now we are going to get back to you later” she replies with a smile

“Oh-A-alright!” I stuttered a little bit and I stood up, I look at him but he ignores me

End of flashback

“But why is he mad?” I mumble to myself then stand up from the chair.

I should pick my phone I need to call him, he has never came home this late. I called him but he’s not answering, am sure its willingly

Then a maid came to my side to give me a juice.

“I did not ask for this?” I looked at her face for an answer

“Sir Rudy told me to bring this” she said looking down

“Oh! Thanks” I said

she was about to leave before I call her back “What’s your name?”

“Nora”

“Okay, I want to ask you something, do you mind?”

“No ma’am” she said with a smile

“You can call me Maeve, I don’t have anyone to talk to in this house so I want you to keep my company” I touch the chair and told her to sit down

“I can’t never call you that ma’am, we are supposed to be respectful but you can tell me whatever you want to say” she giggled

“I have this person, she’s not my friend but she’s my friend’s friend” I lied

“Oh?” She raise her brow

“She has a wife and also a girlfriend”

“He’s a cheater?” She shouted covering her mouth with her hands

“You don’t need to be dramatic, he’s not. It’s not really like a girlfriend but it’s was her ex” I explained and she nods understandingly

“There’s this one time she call in front of her wife but when he picked it up, the husband’s face shows that she missed her so the wife was a little sad about it”

“That means the wife was bit jealous of her, I think she envy her because of the reaction of her husband shows that he still like her right!” She clapped her hand like she got a calculation right

“That’s right, her husband looks make her envy her just a little bit. You are a good one” I smile and she stroke her hair back “Am really good at this game”

“But you got something wrong”

“What is it?” She asked

“The wife is not jealous, it’s because she did not like her husband” I pointed out but she look at me weirdly

“Is it the husband? Then does he hate her then?” She curiously asked. She’s giving too much of reaction

“No! It’s not just love!”

“Then what do you think it is?” She asked innocently

“Thank you! I think…….? Actually I don’t know” I can’t even think of anything else. My mind is just blank

“But the wife never loved him” I added holding her hand

“Then why did they got married?”

“Oh! You are a smart one! I like it” I change the topic with a wide grin

“But am not done, the wife went to the office but her husband is mad at her because she did something behind his back” I explained as fast as possible

“Behind his back? You mean the wife cheated?” She shouted

“No! Why will she cheats!” I snapped and she stiffened

“It just something else but the way he interacted with the girl that works in his office while he’s so cold to her makes her feels a little bit sad” I added with a smile

“Oh! Then she likes him cause it’s jealousy” she nodded with the explanation

“Nora, it shows that it’s clearly not, she just feel sad because she refused to talk to her while he did to the girl” I insisted

“Of course it is” she smiles

“No it’s not! He may be handsome but…” I felt hot I and quickly drink the juice she brought earlier

“But ma’am why do you know so much details? It feels like you experienced it” she raised a brow

I choked on the drink and i stand up

“Oh! Sorry. Am going to bring the water immediately” she said she wanted to quickly get it

“No it’s fine”

“I—was…… -J—just very close to the person”

“But you said she’s not your friend? Your friend’s friend isn’t it” she touch her cheek innocently

I gave her a awkward smile “Yeah, my friend’s friends”

“But I have another question, is it possible to develop feelings for your husband?”

“Now it’s getting more weird, I mean it is her husband and it’s okay for them to like each other so I don’t understand the developing part”

“No it’s just like you now find your husband handsome and hot. If you stare too much you feel like hugging and kissing him and you like it.Which at first it’s was not like that, What about that?” I asked staring deep into her eyes

“Yes it’s possible, you know when you are married for a while the face will look normal to you and your heart won’t even skipped. the guy might be ugly before but maybe he went for cosmetic or plastic surgery and he was now handsome it’s normal to feel like that”

“Ttcchh! Are you joking?” I sneered. I look at her but she look serious

“I don’t remember adding anything like cosmetics or plastic stuffs” I wondered where her conversation is going to. I think it’s going somewhere else

“And if she feels like hugging and kissing him why can’t she do that, I mean it’s her husband. You can just go push to the wall and hold his face gently then you go for it” she says with a imaginary face

“Why should I do that? I am the girl and it’s his job!—-….sorry I mean the wife is a girl so why will she push him to the wall, it’s supposed to be the guy to do that” I object with a confused expression

“Is it?”

“How old are you?” I have to ask cause she was talking like she’s got experience in no experience way.

“Am 22” she said with a wide smile

“Are you in a relationship right now?” I asked

“Yes” she reply quickly

“Do you do that to your boyfriend?” I stare at her raising an eyebrow

“No, he’s always the one who did that” she said shyly

“And you advise me.. sorry her, you advise the wife to do that? Wow” I said surprisingly

“Such a bad influence, your are one of the worst advisors I’ve ever seen” I said and she smiles at me cutely

“To be honest, all the conclusions in this matter is that the wife might not like him at first but feelings can change” she adds

“Thanks Nora, I really appreciate your company” I gave a smiles and she giggles cutely.

The way we talked together was has if we had been friends for long time.

“Goodnight ma’am” she said and i waved

My eyes feels so much blurry now since Nora left and I’m still waiting for Myles but he’s not picking up and he’s not back too.

Myles POV

Why am I getting angry over this? It’s not like there’s anything wrong with it but why won’t she tell me about it? I know if she did I won’t allowed it but still …

Knock! Knock!!

“Sir, this is the file you ask for, I have go through it. the project is going well so there won’t be any problem”

I stretch my arms to collect the file “You can leave, Goodnight” I said as I go through it

“You too sir” she said and leave

After 2hours

Oh! It’s late already? Dad has called, I had to put my phone on silent because I don’t like to be distracted. I strolled down and I saw Maeve call

“She called? I should go home”

When I got home I saw Maeve sleeping on the couch. I know she slept off waiting for me

“I will carry her to her room” Rudy said but I told him that what he need is for him to open the door. he left and came back

“You can go to sleep, goodnight”

“Goodnight sir” he said and left

I carry her from the couch and walk towards the room. I lie her down carefully so that she won’t wake up. I stare at her innocent face and I feels bad

“Am sorry” I said shortly, leave the room and carefully close the door

I groan as I stretch my hands, I went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth then I thought I must have slept off yesterday because I found myself in bed. I hope Myles is still in house cause we had a lot to talk about. I rushed to his room without even knocking cause am not sure if I will meet him by this time.

“Oh! He’s not here!” I said in disappointment as I scanned the room

“Who is not here?” I heard from behind

“Myles I…….” I was speechless by what I saw, Myles just finished bathing so he came out of the bathroom with towel only, his upper body was so sexy with his packs and water was dripping down from his hair.

I wanted to look away but it’s was irresistible
