Hey! said Dusk. Watch that. Dawn rose and grabbed Assa by the throat and slapped her on the snout, hard enough to cause her some pain, all before Assa even registered what was going on. Don’t ever do that again, said Dawn. You could have killed us. Assa tried to move her hand to rub the spot where Dawn hit her, but couldn’t. Her arm had turned into a wing, after all, and lacked the dexterity necessary to do what she wanted it to do.
