Meanwhile, as my thoughts of being followed happened, i remembered the last encounter played back in my mind.
The rogue hesitated, looking around nervously before leaning in closer time. "The Alpha, he didn't give us a direct reason," he whispered.
"But he kept saying something about 'the traitor' and 'the one who betrayed us'. He said that you were a threat to the pack's survival and that you needed to be eliminated."
My eyes narrowed, my mind racing with possibilities.
"Did he mention about being sent by Franklin?" I asked.
The rogue nodded, his eyes darting around the room again. "Yes, he mentioned Franklin's name. He said that you had humiliated Franklin, he's now Alpha and he wants to get back at you since you brought shame to the pack.
