"Look, there's nothing to worry about. Whatever it was that you heard, I'd investigate further on it, and I'll tell you about it if we find anything," he said, patting my shoulder before turning to leave.
"Try to rest more," Liam pounded before turning to leave as well. Finally alone in the room, I tried to comprehend their reactions and could tell there was something more than they disclosed.
Gerald looked startled, which meant that this was the first time something like this was happening. But how come they refused to speak further about it? Was I in danger? Was the Pack safe?
Thinking about it now, I realized that I was just starting to know them.
This was my first time in this Pack and I knew nothing about the Pack or the threats it held. May be there
