The movie theatre was filled with alot of people, Lucas came ahead of time in order to get snacks for both himself and Lian as he went home to get changed, he offered to drive him but Lian refused saying he could come by himself. Lucas waited just a few minutes before Lian walked in, he was dressed in a blue sea Jean and a purple hoodle, Lucas signal him to where he stood.
" I'm really sorry I'm late, the traffic was terrible" Lian apologized
" It's not a problem, I should be thanking you for going out of your way and coming with me to the cinema" he was happy Lian could make it, a few minutes ago he was having doubt as to if he would come.
" It's really nothing, you've done so much for me this is the least I could do" he replied. Both men walked into the theatre, their sits where a bit at the back of the theatre, they sat beside each other, the movie started, it was a real life tragic romance movie.
Lucas wasn't surprised at Gavin's choice of movies, they both watched in silence, Lian on the other hand couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable. Right from the moment Gavin had given him the tickets he couldn't help but think about it as a date, he tried reaching for his drink, thinking of taking a sip could actually Clear his mind, he grabbed his drink but was surprised as he felt a warm hand wrap around his, the impact caused him to flinch,
" I'm sorry but that's mine" Lucas said pointing to his drink which Lian had grabbed earlier
" Oh I couldn't tell which is which because it was dark" he said trying to smile in order not to make it more awkward than it was.
" Here" Lucas said getting him his and turning his attention back to the movie
" What's wrong with you Lian?" He asked himself before getting a glimpse of Lucas who was fully focused in the movie. " Lucas doesn't even care about anything happening right now why are you taking this to far" he whispered still talking to himself.
" Did you say something?" Lucas asked as he heard him murmur
" Oh no I didn't say anything" he replied feeling more embarrassed than before.
Lian managed watching the rest part of the movie with his tongue between his teeth, after what seemed to be a year long moment the movie finally came to an end, " the movie turned out to be nice" Lucas said as they walked out of the theatre
" Yes it was" Lian couldn't concentrate to remember anything that was going on in the movie, he secretly prayed that Lucas wouldn't ask him anything concerning the movie but it was too late for sure prayer.
" Really I'm glad you enjoyed it, by the way what do you think about the female lead?" He asked waiting for Lian's opinion. Lian's mind ran all over the place in order to see if he could remember any about the movie but he couldn't.
" Lucas! I'm hungry" he blurted, that was the only thing that could pop into his head and he wondered why.
" Really? I think there should be a restaurant here, but we have to walk before I didn't come with my car" he pointed out as the walked.
" It's cool, I prefer to walk the weather seems nice"
" Yes it is"
" I hope cherry gets better" Lian randomly said trying to avoid them talking about the movie.
" I'm sure she'll be fine, my sister adores her so much, it may not be anything serious" he said as they continued their walk.
" Hmm, I think been a parent is so much responsibility and I don't think I can handle it" Lian voiced
" But you take good care of cherry whatever she's with you" Lucas pointed out
" That's because I just get to carry her for a short time not like the way she always with Gavin 24 hours" he explained
" I understand what you're trying to say but I believe you're going to be good father" Lucas's words made Lian blush.
As they both walked by the side of the road in search of a restaurant, a car pulled up in front of them and Lian could see Anne walking out of the car, he immediately recognized her as memories came flooding, he stopped his tracks contemplating on whether to ask her about Cobi or just forget about his just like Nick had said.
" Lian!" Lucas called as he noticed he was the only one talking and walking. Lian's eyes immediately shifted towards Lucas and one more time to Anne.
" Are you alright?" Lucas asked worried, Lian took a deep breath before making the best decision could.
" It's nothing, I thought I saw someone I knew" he said deciding to let his crush on Cobi go and moving on with the person in front of him.
They both walked to the restaurant, they sat placing their order, even after Lian decided to go with Lucas he couldn't help but feel bad, he really did want to see Cobi, which was very much close to impossible especially now that he blew his only chance to see him ever.
" You can order more of you're still hungry" Lucas said as they brought the food the ordered, although Lian didn't like the idea of Lucas paying he had no choice, but let him pay.
" You need to try the Cheesecake, it's amazing Lian" he said raising his a spoon with the cake and lifting it into Lian's mouth.
He was ran through the restaurant making sure nobody was watching before eating out of Lucas's hand.
" Uhm this is amazing, I want to wrap food with you" he said with a little laugh.
" If that's the case you can have mine" Lucas ready to exchange
" I'm just joking but it tastes divine" he complimented.
After their meal Lucas had a cab pick up Lian, he wanted to make sure he got home safe and early. While Lian was on his way home, he thought about the little time he spent with Luca and decided maybe it time to get it a try.
