In just a matter big minutes Cobi's cab immediately stopped in front of the cafe, without wasting much time he paid the driver rushing out and pushing open the cafe doors.
Lucas was busy with a customer but still had the time to steal him a glance, "I'll be right with you" he informed before turning to what he was doing.
"um, I'm looking for someone" Cobi spoke with his eyes scanning through the cafe trying to figure out if he could see Lian anywhere.
"Just hold on a minute, I'll get back to you" Lucas replied as he handed over the cup of coffee in his hand to the customer in front of him; after which he didn't turn towards Cobi to hear him clearly.
For some reason his face looked very familiar "who are you asking for?" he asked.
"I'm sorry for interrupting with your work but I'm looking for Lian" he spoke still with his eyes trying to look around the cafe.
"Oh Are you a friend if Lian?" Lucas was still trying to figure out where he had just seen the young man in front of him.
"Umm, yes I am. We both met recently and I forgot to get his number because we were in a rush the last time, I was hoping to meeting him here" he explained.
Lucas finally recalled where he had seen the young man. "well, he just stepped out a few minutes ago but I think you can catch up to him at the bus stop" Lucas replied
"Thank you very much" Cobi appreciated before rushing out of the cafe still hoping to catch up to Lian.
"Who was that cutie?" Gavin asked as his eyes had been on them.
"He's one of Lian's friends" he replied as he carried on with his job.
"You're not bothered?"
"Why should I be?" He raised his head to get a good look at his best friend.
"I hope you are aware that you my friend has just missed your chance of being boyfriend with Lian" he pointed out.
"really?" Lucas spoke rolling his eyes at Gavin.
"Yes, open your eyes"
"Gavin please, we don't know that for sure" he said trying to end the conversation.
"well I do, a young handsome man like that comes looking for me, I would definitely grab him with my hands and feet"
"And somehow am the gay one" Lucas joked.
"I'm serious here, wake up Lian is slowly leaving you" he spoke before walking off to answer a costumer.
Cobi hurried down the street trying to catch up with Lian Ashe made him way across the pavement his eyes were fixed scanning around trying to see if he could find or even get a glimpse of Lian, luckily enough he could sight him sitting on the bus stop waiting for his bus to arrive.
"Lian!" he called out trying to get his attention but the place was crowded as it was rush hour and everyone was trying to get home.
"Lian! Lian!" he called out one more time trying to get through the sea of people in front on him.
Lian on the other hand was playing with his phone in his hand, he couldn't believe that he may not see Cobi again; how stupid could he be that he didn't exchange contacts with him? he asked himself, he could go to his house but then couldn't he remember how he got there last night due to the fact that he was drunk and this morning they were in a rush to go have breakfast that he could even get any sort of landmark to actually remember his way.
Lian held a hand full of his hair before puffing out air from his mouth, his eyes went back to his phone which was in his hand, he was on Cobi's i********: account, should he maybe send him a dm? Would Cobi remember him? Did Cobi want to see him again? all these questions running through his mind, he felt like screaming but knew everyone around him would think he was crazy.
"Lian!" His name rang through the air as the bus arrived, he got to his feet ready to struggle his way through.
"Lian!" he could hear his name been yelled; he turned towards the direction but couldn't see anyone as everyone was piling up to get into the bus.
He scanned the crowd but didn't see anyone, maybe it was his imagination he thought turning back to the mission at hand.
"Lian!" He heard his name but this time it was followed by a hand grabbing his shoulders causing him to turn around.
"Cobi?" He questioned not know if he was daydreaming, he could see Cobi panting trying to catch his breath and sweating.
Something in him was happy.
"Did you run a marathon?" He asked pulling him back and placing him on the bench where he sat.
"I... have.... been..... looking.... everywhere for..... you" he said still trying to catch his breath.
With a smile on Lian's face he passed him a bottle of water from his bag, they both watched the entire crowd get on the bus as other on the bus got off, within minutes the crowd cleared off; Lian took a seat besides Cobi with a smart plastered on his face.
"I thought I was never going to see you again" he spoke.
"I thought so too" Cobi replied as he was able to catch his breath.
"It's a good thing you were able to see me"
"I know, I had to leave work quickly in order to look for you" he explained
"How do you know where I work? I never mentioned working at the cafe?" He asked as it budded him a few seconds ago.
"Umm about that, I asked one of my friends that goes to your school to help me get some information about you and he did. Sorry if I invaded your privacy" he spoke with his eyes on Lian.
"Oh I guess that's good for the both of us" he replied with a smile if he was being honest he wanted Cobi to invaded him as a person.
"I don't want to sit here and talk can we go somewhere quiet" Cobi spoke as he noticed the crowd was forming up again.
"Of course there is a restaurant down the road that's not too crowded, I can't take you through where I work because people often go there" he explained knowing how much Cobi hated crowds.
"That's not a problem let's go"
Lian and Cobi could not stop smiling from ear to ear as they walked side by side, after a few minutes the arrived and just as Lian said it was almost empty, they both sat down.
Cobi picked the menu with his eyes he glanced through but what he really wanted was suspend quality time with Lian then it hit him that he still hasn't gotten Lian's number.
"Here before I forget, can I have your number?" he spoke stretching his hand and passing on his phone to Lian who was more than happy to punch in his digits.
After which he handed over the phone back to Cobi.
"You can order anything" Cobi informed, Lian nodded before grabbing the menu.
"Were you really worried that we were never going to see each other again?" Cobi asked cutting Lian off guard as he was focused on the menu in his hand.
"Yes, I mean we had a good time. For the part I could remember" he said laughing.
"I'm glad you remembered so part of it, I was thinking you were too drunk to remember" he chuckled.
"Well I did"
"Lian" Cobi called out.
"Yes" he replied with his eyes meeting that of Cobi's.
"I would like to get to know you more" he voiced.
Lian could feel himself almost choking on his saliva, causing him to let out a cough.
"Are you okay?" Cobi asked concerned.
"Yes I am, sorry" he spoke feeling excited, finally someone wanted him. Someone he actually likes.
"What do you say can we go out on a date?"
