SHOPPING!

"Thanks for coming along with me, I've been putting this off for the longest time" Lucas appreciated as both himself and Lian walked down the market, they came to get supplies for the cafe.

Apparently Gavin was too busy to accompany Lucas hence he asked Lian to go in his place instead

" It's not a problem, shopping seems fun" he replied

" Is there anything you would want to get?" Lucas asked waiting for Lian's response they've both been in the market for about an hour already walking around hopelessly looking for supplies, Lucas usually gets all his supplies from one place after placing his order, his job was just to go there and get the materials but it was a different case today.

They had to shortage of some materials and he really needed them, he had no other option but to go somewhere else to get the remaining materials

" Nothing, I'm alright" he lied as he was both hungry and thirsty but he knew if he actually decided to get something Lucas would insist on paying for it and he didn't want any of that

" Are you sure?" Lucas asked concerned

"Yes, I'm fine, if there's anything I want I'll definitely let you know about it"

" Alright then, this is our last stop" Lucas announced as they both stopped in front of a*****e " let's hope they would have what I'm looking for, just wait here" he informed Lian before proceeding to talk to the owner of the store.

Lian couldn't help but stare at the beautiful flowers in the store opposite them, flowers were something that gave him some sort of peace because of how delicate they look and the were the last memory associated with someone he loved with his heart.

" Alright thank you" Lucas's voice could be heard as he greeted the store owner before walking towards Lian after negotiating with the store owner

" We'll have to wait for about proximately an hour for the seeds to be ready" he said but Lian's attention was not with him. "Lian!!" He called out, finally getting his attention.

" You totally blanked out, are you alright?" He asked, Lian was fully aware that his boss was a good listener but he didn't want to tell him and more information that he knew.

" I'm fine, where are we headed?"

" Let's go find something to eat first because I'm starving and I'm beginning to lose energy" Lucas said he had noticed Lian was hungry a few minutes ago, he could tell because he was already used to his behaviour when he was hungry, he was always restless and always yawning

" No, I'm good you go eat"

" Are you sure about that your eyes are starting to look like you can eat everyone walking in the market" he said teasing him.

Lian had no choice but to go with him, they walked towards a Pizza palace, Lucas picked out a table, it didn't take long for the waiter to approach them. They both placed their orders

" You can order anything else apart from this, consider it an appreciation for coming out with me" he added with a smile

" I haven't had the chance to talk to you since, the day of your graduation party, how is the job hunting coming along" he asked

" Um!" Lian breathed sounding a little bit depressed about it but himself and Nicholas submitted their applications to a couple of companies and they haven't received any response yet he explained

" It's going to be alright" he encouraged with a smiling face " It's always stressful, I have been there before, that was before I discovered that I didn't like working in an office and I wanted to open my own Cafe

Which is doing pretty well than expected" he explains trying to get Lian some sort of encouragement

" you just need to be patient, they will definitely reply to your mails one of these days"

" I hope they do, I love working at the cafe, no doubt but I can't wait to start lecturing students as well" Lian pointed out

" I understand that, I'm aware you're going to make a very good lecturer" he complicated "The semester will soon start so let's hope for the best Lucas said, their are food arrived which they ate and went back to collect that supplies before leaving the market and drove back to the cafe.

Dan and Lian both helped to get down the supplies up back to the storage

" And how was your little date with Lain?" Gavin asked with a smile on his face like he did nothing wrong

" I knew nothing was up with you when I called you and you were sounding, you were just looking for a way to get me alone with Lian"

" Alright I give up, you got me but judging from the look on your face you enjoyed it" he said looking at his best friend

" Argh! we just talked nothing more!" He tried to make his point clear

" When are you going to confess stop your fantasizing in your head and actually do the real thing"

" I don't think I can do that''

" Oh boy I have the dumbest friend ever, then continue taking your precious time and I'm sure that he's definitely having people coming for him already" Gavin spat out without thinking about the consequences

" trust me Lucas he will definitely slip out of your hands one of these days because we are all aware of that fact Lian is a good looking man not to have her admirers" Lucas understand stood his best friends point but yet he couldn't bring himself to just confess to him.
