Rose looked at her appearance in the mirror when she was done changing. The saleswoman set aside the black, ankle-length, pleated skirt she had selected earlier; a white, short-sleeved, blouse with flowers that she tucked into the skirt at the waist, and flat, closed shoes.
Rose could not help but smile. The transformation was stunning. She still had her grievances with Jade but she understood where she was coming from. She supposed it would not hurt to keep up with the fashion trends every once in a while.
“Are you done?” The saleswoman asked from outside of the door of the small changing room. She was being so polite now. After all, Rose was the biggest pay check she had ever received.
