Lola led Rose to the nearest wing on the floor. They turned at a corner and entered an open space where there were a lot of office desks and a fee people who had already started on their work.
As soon as they saw Lola, they stopped and gave her their attention.
“I want you to meet your new colleague. This is Rose…” Lola also paused for a moment. It was the first time she would be referring to Rose as an Evans, and though she would rather avoid doing so, it was necessary. They would find out eventually.
“Rose Evans. She’s my sister-in-law… Xander’s wife.”
Rose could feel the tension in the atmosphere. Everyone was confused and giving each other nervous glances. They hesitantly clapped.
Rose knew what was going on in their minds.
