AROURA
I woke up to the smell of bacon and egg, it smelt delicious. I turned around, Dom was gone, he must be down stairs eating already. Strange, he normally wakes me up by kissing me, then we have a morning quicky and head down for breakfast.
I headed down stairs to see Dominic running food out of the kitchen, I walked up to the table confused. He had bacon, eggs, cereal, sausage, pancakes, muffins and more.
He came back out with toast
“Morning foxy, hungry?”
I looked at him
“What is all this?”
He came over, gave me a kiss and hug
“I knew you were sick the other day, you were sleeping when I got home. So I figured I’d make an array of food for you to pick from, how was the doctors by the way?”
He pulled out my chair, I sat down and put on a convincing smile
“Oh I just caught that bug that’s been going around, I feel better today.”
He looked at me, like he was waiting for more.
“That’s it, nothing else?”
I grabbed some bacon and eggs
“Yup, she said to get some rest and drink plenty of fluids.”
I said grabbing the orange juice
He just nodded his head and shrugged
“Ok, well I’d love to join you for breakfast but I have to met Jace, him and Carly came across a rouge camp that was abandoned. The rouges vanished without a trace.”
I shoved bacon in mouth
“That’s odd, do you think it has to do with Shia?”
He chuckled
“Chew your food love before you choke, and I don’t know for sure that’s why I meeting with Jace to see if he found anything. I’ll see you later, I love you.”
He gave me a kiss on the cheek and stole a piece of bacon. I grunted and tried to grab it, he ran out the door.
I sat there with my food and let out big sign, I saw a plate of cinnamon rolls. I grabbed one and as soon as I put it to my mouth my stomach turned. I put it down and started to cry, I love cinnamon rolls and now I can’t eat then along with sushi. This is going to be a long few months, but my main problem is how to tell Dom. He’s going to find out eventually, I’m going to start getting fatter. I just have to find the right time to tell him, I rubbed my belly.

DOMINIC
I’ll give her sometime, I know she probably scared and doesn’t know how I would react. But it also kinda hurts, she’s known me literally her whole life and the fact she hasn’t told me yet hurts a bit.
I pulled up the the meeting house, Jaces was pacing back and forth, something was wrong.
I got out of my car
“Jace what’s wrong?”
He face was white
“I found the rouges, well what was left of them.”
He looked horrified
“Tell me.”
He shook his head
“I went back to the camp to look around some more, I saw something a strange rock in the middle of the ground. A foul smell was coming from under it, I tried to move it.”
He eyes were wide
“I finally managed to roll it and that’s when I saw all the body’s, they looked like they had the life sucked out of them. The men, women, and.....”
He couldn’t finish
Anger filled my chest
“We have to find Shia and put an end to whatever it is she’s planning.”
I went to turn
“Wait, there’s one more thing. The body’s they had this black tar coming out of their nose, eyes, mouth and ears.”
I remembered the dream I had last night of Shia dripping in black tar.
I nodded to Jace
“Good work Beta, you home and get some rest. We’re going to need it.”
“What are we going to do Alpha.”
I started to walk away
“We’re going to find this b***h and kill her.”
I hopped in my car and head to the Elders meeting house, only elders could step foot in there but this was an exception.
I opened the door and walked in, they were sitting around a table reading books
“Alpha, your not supposed to come in here?”
Said the oldest
“I’m sorry Amilie, but this is urgent. The Beta just came back from the abandoned rouge camp and found the bodies sucked dry and oozing black tar. I need to know how to defeat Shia, she’s after my son.”
The elders dropped their books and looked at me like I was crazy
“You have a son? Does Aroura know?”
Said William, the second oldest.
“Aroura is with child, the Goddess came to me and told me I have to protect him. I went to elder Alex this morning and his gift told me that dark forces are trying to get my son. Shia must be stopped before my son is born, I need your help to track her and how to stop her.”
The elders looked at Alex to confirm it was true
He nodded his head
“It is true, I used my gift and it showed me the little boy. He is the beginning of a new age and he possesses a very special gift but I’m not sure what kind of gift that is. All I know is the Witches and Shia want him for their own dark desires.”
The other elders sat there processing what they just heard.
“We will look deeper in the book and consult with the other elders in neighboring packs.”
Said Amilie with seriousness
“Thank you let me know as soon as you find anything.”
I bowed and left.
I headed to the house, I walked in.
The table was cleared, Aroura must be in the bedroom. We have to talk about the baby, she need to be made aware of the situation.
I ran in to room, the shower was going. I was about to walk in the bathroom when I heard a phone go off.
BUZZ BUZZ
It was Aroura’s phone, it was Dr. Mendoza.
Curious I opened it
Hello my little fox did you take the pill? You didn’t call me last night I’m beginning to worry, if you did take the pill the bleeding will last only for a few hours. I would like you to come back in in a few days to due an ultrasound to make sure the fetus is out. Call me as soon as you can.
I sat heavy on the bed, I couldn’t believe it.
I heard the bathroom door open
“Hey, how did it go? Did he find anything?”
She said sweetly
I looked at her with tears in my eye, holding up the text message.
Her face dropped.
AROURA
Why was he crying, then held up my phone with a text from Dr. Mendoza. My heart sank, oh s**t he knows.
“I can explain.”
“What pill his she talking about Aroura?”
His voice was hard and cold,
“I was scared, I didn’t know....”
He jumped up and punched his fist through the wall, I jumped.
He was breathing heavy
“You aborted our son?”
I looked at him confused
“No I didn’t take the pill I flushed it, how do you know what we’re having?”
He shook his head
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
Tears filled my eyes
“I was afraid of how you were going to react, I mean no cross breed as ever survived and there’s a high chance I wouldn’t make it either.”
He shook his head
“I would have helped you, I would have talked to the elders like I did last night when the Goddess told me in my dream to protect our son.”
I looked at him
“The Goddess told you?”
He nodded his head
“Yea, she showed me what he would look like too, she told me I have to protect him. I woke and ran to elder Alex and he used his gift of sight, he told me that our son will bring the dawn of the new age but dark forces will try to seek him out and use him. He said our son is special.”
Tears filled my eyes
“What dark forces?”
He looked down
“Shia had seeked help from the witches, she’s planning something.”
Now it was my turn to be angry
“How long have you known this?”
Anger filling my voice
“A few days, I didn’t tell you cause I didn’t want you to worry.”
Anger filled my chest
“So you have to balls to get mad at me and punch the f*****g wall for not telling you I was pregnant but it’s ok for you to keep info about Shia from me!”
I got right up in his face, I have to be on my tip toes which pissed me off even more.
“I didn’t know she was after our son, all I knew was she was working with the witches for some reason killing rouge camps. YOU tried to kill our son without asking me what I thought first!”
His eyes were glowing, I can feel the heat of his anger radiating off his body. He was trying to use his Alpha power on me to summit.
I chuckled
“Did you forget I’m a fox, your Alpha powers don’t work on me. And first of all it’s MY f*****g body not yours, if I carry this child and he lives. What about me, did the Goddess tell you that I live? Or Alex?”
His face dropped a little, he didn’t think about me not surviving.
“Alex said he couldn’t see, he would need your blood.”
I shook my head, I threw my towel at him and got dressed. I grabbed a bag and threw some clothes in it, along with a few other things.
He looked at me confused
“What are you doing?”
I threw the bag over my shoulder and grabbed my keys
“I’m going to my parents for a little while, I need time to think.”
His face dropped
“Time to think about what?”
I looked at him
“About us.”
I turned and walked out the door.
I ran to the car and drove to my parents, I didn’t even knock I just walked right in. The smell of meatloaf and steamed vegetables filled the air, I missed moms cooking.
Mom was in the kitchen, she turned and saw me.
She jumped almost dropping the rolls
“Oh jeepers, Aroura. You almost gave me a heart attack, what’s wrong baby?”
Tears filled my eyes, she came around the kitchen island and held me.
Dad can in
“What a sup.... What’s wrong?”
I told them everything, about me being pregnant, about the the pill, the Goddess and Dominic.
My parents sat there processing everything
“Well that’s a lot, it sounds to me like you should speak with the Elders sweetie.”
My father said.
I just nodded my head,
“I’m going to lay down for a little bit if that’s ok.”
They nodded.
I went up to my old room and laid on my bed, crying myself to sleep.
