Chapter 11

DOMINIC

It’s been 3 weeks since the battle with the Blood Moon Pack happened, we held a funeral for Brian and I’ve already united some of the other hybrids. The bears, birds and horses are on our side for peace, the other hybrids are going to take some time to come around. Aroura has taken her roll as Luna very seriously, she been handling a lot of the security since the Goddess told her there’s a new threat and the battle wasn’t over. She thinks it has to do with Shia, she seems to think Shia will rally an army to avenge her fathers death.

After the battle we found my father locked in Micheals basement, he was pretty banged up but he was ok.

We filled him in on everything

“I’m proud you son, and if your mother were here she’s be proud too.”

After he healed we finished the ceremony and did the Alpha transfer, we cut our hands and shook. After that dad retired, he decided to take a trip up to the mountains. My mother always loves the mountains.

I walked into the dinning room to see Aroura scribbling in a note book.

I walked up behind her and covered her eyes

“Do you ever just take a break?”

I kissed her cheek.

She smiled

“I want to be prepared, if Shia is the new threat which I’m pretty sure she is we have to be ready. You said yourself she’s just as ruthless and heartless as her father.”

I sat next to her

“Aroura sweetheart, there has been so sign of Shia for 3 weeks, she’s gone.”

She nodded

“Then what else would be a threat? You’ve already united some of the hybrids, the other one will come when we regain their trust back. She has to be the threat Dom.”

I kissed her passionately, light moaned escaped her chest.

“Stop worrying, take a break and enjoy some dinner.”

I whispered

She smile

“Can we just skip dinner and go straight to dessert?”

This fox is going to kill me, I lifted her out of her chair and in to the table, taking her right there.

I was walking in the forest again, but this time it was different. There was a field similar to the one we battled on, but there was wild roses. I was standing in the middle of the field when I heard a child’s laugh, I turned around. It was a little boy about the age of 4, he had black hair with a silver stripe and ice blue eyes. He jumped and shifted in mid-air, half wolf and half fox.

I opened my eyes, it was a dream, there’s no way Aroura and I could have a child. It was biologically impossible and could possibly kill Aroura. I looked over to see Aroura sleeping peacefully, I gently tucked a strain of hair behind her ear. I laid back down and tried to fall asleep but every time I closed my eyes I saw that’s little boys face and the half wolf and half fox.

AROURA

“Do we have to go?”

Dom whined in the drivers seat.

I chuckled

“Yes Carly said it will be fun and you said the other day I needed to take a break.”

He sighed

“I did didn’t I. Ok well if you want to go home just pretend your sick ok, then we’ll leave.”

I smiled and put my hand in his leg

“It will be fun.”

We pulled up to a new trivia bar, Carly said her and Jace went there for a date night and it was fun, so they invited us for a double date.

I saw Carly and Jace waiting for us out front.

“You finally made it, come we reserved a table.”

Carly said dragging me into the building.

“They have the best sushi here, you have to try their spider roll, it’s so good!”

Carly said leading me the table, we sat down and ordered our drinks. Jace and Dom got beers and Carly got a margarita. I wanted a vodka and red bull but I started to feel a little nauseous, I got a coke instead. We ordered our food, we got the Loveboat for 4, it came with 50 pieces of sushi.

The lights dimmed down and the host stood on the stage, he states the rules.

He started with the first question.

“Which singer played opposite Bradley Cooper in A Star Is Born?”

I looked at Carly and whispered

“Lady Gaga.”

She wrote it down, we were right.

We were in the lead, I was having fun till our sushi came out. The waitress placed the food on the table, it looked amazing but something about the smell turned my stomach. I figured I didn’t really eat today that I was just really hungry, I grabbed a piece of sushi and ate it. It tasted amazing but my stomach was keeping me from swallowing it, I finally managed to get it down.

Then I felt it

“Aroura you ok? You don’t look so good.”

Carly said putting down the pen.

I felt the sushi coming back up, I threw my hand over my mouth and ran to the bathroom. I almost didn’t make it to the stall, I threw the sushi up, my stomach won this time.

Carly was right behind me holding my hair back for me and rubbing my back.

I finished, I rinsed my mouth out with some water.

“You ok hun?”

Carly asked

I felt perfectly fine now

“Yea I’m fine now, it must have been the sushi, I may have gotten a bad roll or something. I’m fine”

We walked back to the table, Dom looked at me with concern

“You ok foxy? Want me to take you home?”

I was about to tell him im fine when I smelt the sushi again and my stomach turned.

I started to gage, I nodded.

“The sushi, I can’t it’s making me sick.”

Carly hugged me

“Feel better sweetie we can try it next time when your not sick.”

We got in the car, now I felt fine, what is going on.

We got home

“Want me to make you some soup?”

Dom asked carrying me into the house

I scrunched my nose

“No, but a PB&J sounds nice with carrot sticks sound really good.”

He looked at me confused

“But you hate PB&J’s.”

I do, I hated PB&J’s there so sticky and I hate when peanut butter sticks to my mouth, but it sounds so good right now.

“Please, I really want one.”

He looked at me concerned

“You feeling alright? I mean you love sushi and it never made you sick before, you eat one piece and throw up instantly. Now you want PB&J which you’ve hated since you were 3, and your begging for one. What’s going on my love?”

That’s when it hit me, I haven’t had my heat cycle since last month and Dom hasn’t been using a c****m.

Panic prickled though my body and I felt the color leave my face

“You ok? You going to be sick again?”

I can’t tell him until I know for sure, I can’t deal with him panicking while I’m panicking

“Maybe I should just lay down for a bit, I’ll see Dr. Mendoza in the morning.”

He nodded and carried me to bed, luckily for me his phone rang and had to leave to take care of business.

“I’ll be back in an hour, you sure you’ll be ok?”

I nodded

“I’ll be ok take your time.”

He kissed me

“I love you.”

I forced a smile

“I love you too.”

As soon as he left I bursted into tears.

This better be important, I should be home with Aroura. She seemed off when I left, asking for a food that she hates, poor girls been though hell since I’ve been back. I drove up to the meeting house, Jaces father stood outside looking anxious.

I stepped out of my car

“This better be important.”

He nodded

“Oh it is Alpha, remember Shia, Micheal’s daughter? Well she’s resurfaced and she has some friends.”

He said uneasily

“What kind of friends?”

I asked

He looked at me with fear on his face

“The witchy kind.”

My heart dropped in my stomach, Shia couldn’t be desperate enough to ask for the witches help. The witches were the most evil creatures, they practiced black magic and performed evil rituals.

They literally sold their souls to the devil

“How do you know this?”

I asked hoping it was a sick rumor

“I found this on a tree near the boarder.”

He handed me a piece of old paper with writing on it

You took my father, now I’ll take something of yours

It had an upside down pentagram on it, the witches sign.

I crumbled the paper and threw it on the ground

“If we can defeat the unstoppable strength I’m sure we can defeat Shia and her witch friends. Just send around the clock security on the boarders.”

He nodded and bowed.

I headed back home, I quietly walked in to the bedroom. Aroura was sleeping, she looked so beautiful but she looked a little different. Her skin looked more radiant and her scent was a bit more intensified. Something was up with her, hopefully Dr. Mendoza could figure it out. I got undressed and crawled into bed snuggled up with my queen.
