Is it possible for a coldblooded man to change for love?

Do you honestly not understand?” Nila asks. Nevada bites her lower lip. “I apologize, grandmother. But I do not love the 3rd prince. I do not wish to marry him. He is cruel and evil and I’m afraid of him!” Chalice eats quietly with a smile on her face. Nevada is the prettiest in the Bleur Family. She is the most prestigious. And many people know how the 3rd Prince dotes on her. She enjoyed such devotion and protection for many years but now there is a rumor that the 3rd prince is heavily injured, his face becomes ugly due to poison and he might lose his ability to have children in the future. If all of that is true, her dream to be the Empress might not happen in this lifetime. She refuses to give up. Luckily, the First Prince though 20 years older than Nevada has expressed his adoration to her. And promises to demote his legal wife when she crosses over. Nevada knows the 3rd prince is the most handsome and she has been very pleased with him but this incident makes her realize that a person with too many enemies is not the best for her. At least the first prince had many reliable allies. What about the cold blooded 3rd prince? All his associates are from the military. What is the use of military men stationed on the border all year? She was totally brainwashed by the first prince people ,whispering to her ears. Chalice knows she will be the one marrying the 3rd Prince. Because this is a world based on a novel: Cold blooded emperor’s caged canary. It was a R18+ kind of tragic novel. Full of b**m and love and hate of the Emperor and the Female lead. Until the end where the Emperor coldly watches the canary die under his cold bloody hands. Chalice is not worried because the cold blooded Emperor, who is the current 3rd Prince never hurt or abused his wife. She is the most respected woman in the entire novel. She has no power or say to anything but at least she is not played unlike the female lead. And after the Canary died, the Emperor let his wife leave the palace and live an ordinary life away from the capital. ‘A perfect ending. Nevada would be so jealous if she finds out that the 3rd Prince will only respect his own wife. Not the woman he loves. It was that kind of genre, dark romance. I did enjoy the sexy scenes but now that I’m here I might not like to see their wild s****l affair.’ Chalice glances at his half sister with pity and anticipation. Nevada caught her staring. She frowns while Chalice smiles at her. ‘What is wrong with her? Lately, she has become more and more strange.’ Nevada sneers inwardly. ‘But she will marry the 3rd prince… How lucky for a 3rd rate woman like her to be part of the royal family. She is also not sure how she ends up in her very first dark romance novel that was recommended by her boss’s daughter. She is usually reading only romance novels with HE. She is lucky that the original mother is not revealing her identity though. Maybe she also realizes that there is no point in that. “Nevada, Chalice, you two stayed after breakfast.” Their grandmother said, staring at Nevada. Nevada frowns but nods. The rest of the people including the madam look worriedly at Nevada while the concubine mother looks at Chalice. She has been crying for a week. She realizes that though her daughter is alive, she is no longer around. The woman in front of her is not her daughter. But even though she is not, the fact that nobody wants to even ask about her feelings about the 3rd prince hurts her even more. The master is cruel. She was an innocent woman back then. Full of hope and love. She would be marrying the love of her life but the master sets his eyes on her. She couldn't refuse and after being promised love and wealth, she eventually accepted him. But she was just one of his conquests. Luckily for her, she gave birth to a son first then a daughter. If not, most concubines without children the master coerces soon left with just compensation and work recommendation to work somewhere else. His promise of love is just words he spoke. They meant nothing. Maybe she is glad that the child in her daughter’s body is no longer her daughter. There is a bit of sweetness in her heart. A sigh of relief. After everyone left, their grandmother led them to the garden.
