The Alpha's Niece and Her Mate

Chapter 7

As we walk into the party I hear a bunch of people scream happy birthday. I have no idea who these people are but I smile and say thank you and thank you for coming. I walked around with Renee to find Adam. He was standing there talking to Kenny and Conor and Maddison and a bunch of other kids from our school. 

We walk up and she hugs Adam while everyone tells me happy birthday. Maddison looks at me with a nasty look when she sees my necklace. “That was pretty, where did you get it?” she asks. “It was a birthday gift” I answered her. She looks at corner with a look that i can't quite place. But before i can even think about it Kenny asks  “have i found my mate yet?” “No” I answered while looking at conor.

I know he knows that we are mates because he is over 18. So I know he has known since I got here and he first met me. But i dont and won't say a word and neither will I. She knows how I feel. “Well maybe he is a different pack. But i'm sure you will find him soon.” he says. I just smile at him.

I tell them i'm going to go get a drink and go sit down till time to eat and i'll see them later. Conor comes up to me a few minutes later. “Look you wow” he says. “Thank you” I go to walk away and he grabs my hand as soon as my skin touches it. I feel tingles like electric shock.

I snatch my hand back so fast. He looks at me. “I know you know” he says to me. “It doesn't matter, '' I told him. And I walk away. Before I walk away I hear him say very quietly that we need to talk and after my shift he will come to my room to talk. I walk away and act like i didn't hear him.

The party was great. After we ate, a few people gave me gifts. One gift was from my parents. I started crying because I was sad and yet happy. I got a letter that they left for me as well. My gift from them was the car that i wanted i couldn't believe it. I was told that it was left in the will that my uncle got after the funeral. I was happy even though they couldn't be there, they were still there for me.

After the party we headed out to a special clearing on the pack lands. It was me, Renee, my uncle and my aunt. As soon as we got there I smelt conor. He walked out from under the trees. “What are you doing here?” I asked. “As your mate with me being close to you you will shift easier. I know you don't really walk me here but I am only here to help you.” he says. 

“Ok thank you.” I told him. As soon as the moon came out over head of the clearing I heard the first pop and fall down my spine was on fire. It hurt so bad. I could hear everyone around me talking but i couldn't understand anything that was said.

“Don't fight it. Let your wolf take control.” I hear. I look over to where the voice is coming from and look into the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. The voice is as soft as a feather. I keep listening to him. And it helps. I started to calm down and what felt like hours was only about 30 minutes. 

When the pain stops I look down and instead of hands I see paws. I look up to see my uncle. He is a black wolf the size of a truck with white paws. My aunt is next to him. She is smaller than him and is blonde color. And I see Renee. She is about the size of my aunt and she is a chocolate brown color. And when I looked at Conor I almost stopped breathing. His fur was almost silver and his eyes were as green as emeralds.

Now i understand the look i got from madison when she saw my necklace. He gave me a necklace that looks like his wolf. My uncle comes up to greet me and I hear him in my head. “Relax Bon-Bon, we can talk in our minds. When in wolf form that way you know who is in the pack. Anyone not in the pack can not mind linking you.” he says to me. 

Conor comes up to me and rubs my neck with his head. “ Only you can hear me right now. I have blocked everyone else out. Your wolf is so beautiful. Would you like to go for a run? Just us or with your family and renee?” I heard him say. “Catch me if you can.” I responded then I started running. I hear laughing before I hear his paws on the ground.

I run to the lake and I stop at the water. As I come closer to it I stare at my reflection. What I see makes my heart stop. My wolf is like a pearl color and my eyes are so blue they look like sapphires shining in the son. I look behind me when I feel him walking up to me. He is in his human form with shorts low on his waist and a shirt in his hand.

He tells me to shift back. I need to let my human part take over and I need to visualize my human body as I do it. I can feel my bones go back to normal. When i finish i look down and i see im necked. He hands me the shirt while not looking at me. Once the shirt is on I look up embarrassed that I was necked. 

“I sorry i didn't see anything when u changed back.” he said. We sat next to the lake and looked up to the sky. “Thank you for your help. If you weren't there it would have been harder. And thank you for my gift. The wolf looks like you.  I love it.” I told him. I look at him and see that he is just staring at me.
