Chapter 1
Tap... Tap... The subtle sound of tapping pointed heels formed a matching rhythm as it met the black and white patterned marble floor. The sparkling crystal chandeliers that adorned the ceiling of the hallway reflected perfectly on a diamond necklace around the neck of a woman who carried her body gracefully through the hallway. The hem of her elegant gown grazed the floor with effortless grace. The dress hugged her figure, accentuating her graceful curves and showcasing her porcelain-white shoulders. The highest floor of the Balmain Forest club gives off a different vibe, touted as a hidden paradise for people living at the top of the social chain, tycoons, billionaires, and officials. This place is like a second home for them. When one sets foot there, one is treated to a place full of luxurious amenities, drinks and food served by world-class chefs, and a collection of rare wines provided to guests. The women who will entertain and serve them are the finest women selected through rigorous selection. Only the most beautiful and skilled in the art of flirting and pampering the men who are willing to spend fantastic money to enter the room are selected. To gain access to this special and private floor, one must be willing to spend thousands of dollars just to get in. And to be 'served by those women of extraordinary beauty', hundreds of thousands of dollars can be spent per night. A subtle smile on the corner of her lips she gave to the few men who passed her, men who must have thick wallets and were willing to spend their money on the women there. Her long black hair fell beautifully down her back, moving gently with each step towards a door at the end of the hallway. "Wait a minute, Luna." Feeling summoned, the woman halted her steps, before slowly turning around. Her eyebrows raised slightly when she noticed the man in the black suit now standing before her. "What's wrong, Rico?" she asked, linking eyebrows when she saw the manager in such a hurry. "I just received a special guest, he wants you to accompany him tonight," the man said with a smile on his face. Luna understood what that smile meant, it was the smile Rico displayed when he made a lot of money, which meant the man Rico was talking about promised a lot of money. "I have to accompany Mr. Joe now, go find someone else!" she replied rolling her eyes. "You still have other girls to hire besides me, right?" "Well... but you're by far the most valuable girl I have," Rico emphasized. "You know what? I'm pretty picky about who I meet," he said softly, but his sharp gaze pierced through Rico. Rico sighed. "But, Luna," Rico stepped closer, "he's no ordinary guest, you'll be paid more than usual. You know what? When it comes to money, I never lie." Luna tilted her head, looking at Rico lazily. "I don't serve just anyone. I'm the one who chooses here, not them." Luna said haughtily while crossing her arms over her chest. All this time, Luna had been meticulous about her clients, not just because the men had wealth, but also their demeanor. She never let herself fall into unfavorable situations. "Yes, I know your standards, so I brought you a man who suits you. He's the only son of the owner of Megaland Corp. He's very interested in you." Luna raised her eyebrows. "Only child?" She muttered lowly. In Luna's mind, such a status was already a plus for her. Rico smiled a little at Luna's growing interest. "How much is he offering?" Luna said without preamble. She looked at Rico with a calculating smile. Rico shifted himself to whisper to Luna. "Thirty thousand dollars... in the beginning," he said slowly, then pulled back to watch Luna's reaction. Luna's eyes flashed with interest, but she tried to mask that interest with her flat face. It was a good number. "If he is who you say he is..." Luna pulled her lips, her hand moving to touch Rico's shoulder. "Then I agree. Take me to him." Rico instantly smiled widely, making his narrow eyes almost sink. "Tonight you won't regret it. Besides being rich, he's also very handsome." "Since when do I care about good looks? It's none of my business. I just need him to know how to treat a woman like me," Luna replied indifferently. She then walked past Rico. Rico soon matched her pace and led her to the most expensive VVIP room there. Their steps stopped at a black two-leafed door, Rico momentarily looked at Luna as he placed his hand on the door. A small smile appeared on his lips. "Have fun, Luna," he whispered before pushing the door open, and it closed again as Luna led herself into the modern classic-style room. Crystal chandeliers reflecting their golden light greeted Luna's arrival, the tapping of Luna's pointed heels echoing in the spacious room. Her steps slowed as she came to the side of a black leather sofa that lined the large window, with a square table with a row of expensive wines in the center. Her gaze fell on the man standing facing the window, an expensive gray suit perfectly wrapped around the man's well-built body. The man turned around to notice Luna's arrival. A smile broke out as he scanned Luna's body from head to toe. "Luna," he called in a playful tone and walked towards the sofa. "You're much more beautiful and sexy than I imagined." Luna approached him gracefully. She wasn't interested in responding to that cheap compliment. She was already immune to sweet compliments from men. She glanced at the chair beside her then sat down with her thighs in her lap, while the man in front of her stared hungrily at her. Her slender hand reached for the wine bottle in front of her, then poured the deep red liquid into a crystal glass. Luna smiled slightly, then handed the glass to him. William Cassanova, his name was, the sole heir to the Meland family fortune. "Château Lafite Rothschild, this is the best quality wine we have," Luna said with a smile. William grinned. "How could I doubt your choice? But perhaps it would be better if you were to drink me directly." Luna let out a soft, melodic laugh—one that curled around William like silk. Luna got up from her position and moved to sit next to William. William looked at Luna with interest. Slowly Luna lifted the glass and brought it to the man's lips. She smiled faintly. "Drink up," she whispered in a sexy tone that made the man shift his body to bring them closer together. The man quickly complied, gulping down the drink from the glass Luna held for him. His gaze never left Luna. Once he got to the last sip, Luna felt the atmosphere around her heat up. William took off his tie roughly, throwing it in a random direction. His breathing grew heavier, filling the silent room with anticipation. Luna pulled her lips into a faint smile. She was used to this kind of reaction. She extended her hand, resting it lightly on his thigh. "Don't rush," Luna said in a teasing tone. "Enjoy the evening, we're just getting started." The man responded with a small laugh, but his breathing still seemed heavy. "You're really special," he said. Luna only smiled faintly as she set the glass down on the table before looking back at the man. "I always make sure my clients' nights end perfectly here." Luna's hand then rose, her pale white fingers caressing the man's firm jaw. William groaned softly, his eyes narrowing at Luna before he grasped Luna's hand and in one motion pulled her onto his lap, making Luna's body jerk. William didn't want to waste any time, his initially idle hands quickly moving to Luna's back furiously. The man's breathing getting heavier, with lustful movements he slowly pulled down the zipper on Luna's back, and his other hand began to grope the smooth thigh in front of him. However, before he could get any further, what he was doing was halted as a ringing phone echoed through the room. "I think I got an important call," whispered Luna right in William's ear, making him fidget with impatience. Damn it!" he muttered in frustration. Face darkening, he felt reluctant as Luna slowly got up. Looking at the name on her cell phone, Luna sighed. She quickly grabbed her cell phone, then flashed her guest a sweet smile. "I'll pick up the phone in a moment," she said with a wink. William sighed. "Don't be long dear, I can't wait to be with you." The man replied hoarsely, his eyes not leaving Luna's body as he unbuttoned his shirt one by one then tossed it aside. "Take it easy," Luna tilted her head and smiled seductively. "I'll be right back." After that Luna quickly turned around, her steps somewhat hurried towards the door. As the door to the room closed, Luna's face immediately darkened. She had never found it good for her aunt to suddenly call. Either she was in trouble or... wanted to ask for her money. "What's wrong, Auntie?" she asked lowly, leaning her body against the side of the door. "Luna... help me, I need your help now." There were panicked voices and other noises from the other end. Luna unconsciously squeezed her cell phone. "What do you mean, Auntie?" "I was at the casino, and those damn collectors came out of nowhere and..." The voice sounded increasingly desperate. "They're collecting my debt! Help me, Luna! They're going to shoot me alive..." The woman's delicate eyelashes fluttered, she glared at that. "The casino? You went there again?" Luna narrowed her anger-filled eyes. "I told you never to go there again!" Luna raised her voice as she growled. "Help me, Luna... please help me and-" "You want me to help you? No, I've done it so many times, and you end up repeating your mistakes and getting stuck with your debt!" "Please, Luna, please. You're all I have. I promise to stop after this, they'll ruin my life if you don't come..." "Auntie's told me that many times before! And I'm tired of being dragged into your problems!" "I know..." There was a sob from the other side and Luna snorted. She was unfazed by the fake crying. "Luna, I mean it, this is the last time, and I promise not to drag you down again after this, this is the last time." The sounds of despair and sobs on the other end continued to reverberate. Luna pressed her lips together. Behind that angry face, her gaze turned sad. "Remember, this is the last time. Don't ever contact me after this!" Before getting a response from her aunt, Luna immediately cut the connection unilaterally. Roughly stuffing the phone into her bag, she strode quickly down the corridor. Her steps echoed loudly, breaking the silence. Luna clutched her bag tightly, not even Rico's call made her stop her steps. "Luna, wait!" "Luna!" The hurried steps got closer. Luna's steps stopped as Rico stood in front of her, arms outstretched, blocking her path. Luna let out another harsh breath and furrowed her brows. "Move aside, I have to go." "Where do you think you're going? You can't just leave," Rico emphasized his words. Luna chuckled. "I don't care, my business is more important. Move, Rico!" Rico rubbed his face in frustration looking at Luna. "You can't leave an important client tonight. You know very well the rules here!" Hearing that, the woman snorted coldly. She stepped closer to Rico. "Rules?" She hissed and continued, "I don't care about those rules! I have to go!" Without waiting for a reply from Rico, Luna bumped into Rico's shoulder blocking her way, knocking the man out of position. She strode quickly from there, her dress lifted as she rushed towards the elevator. Once the elevator doors closed, she leaned weakly against the elevator wall with heavy breathing. In a huff, she pushed back the hair that had fallen across her face. Money and money... her aunt had always been crazy about this thing called money. Luna worked at this place to help pay off her aunt's mounting gambling debts. Instead of stopping, her aunt became more and more outrageous until Luna couldn't stand her anymore. It was hard to leave her, because she was the one who had always taken care of her and the only family she had. Luna looked down, staring at the elevator floor with a blank look in her eyes. "How long is this going to last? Shit..."
