  Selene's POV   Rowan's warning stayed with me long after the tea went cold.   I sat there on the stone bench a little longer than I meant to, turning the empty cup in my hands, feeling the last traces of warmth fade from the ceramic. The courtyard buzzed around me with the usual morning activity. On the surface everything looked normal again after the Crimson Veil.   But the eyes were still there.   I could feel them even when I wasn't looking.   I stood up and kept my shoulders relaxed. Showing discomfort would only give them more to talk about later. Rowan's words kept circling anyway. "Be careful who you trust here." He had said it like he meant it, but also like he was part of the problem. That made everything feel a little more tangled than it already was.   I turned a corner
