‘’So, that’s everything settled then.’’ Alpha Seth said as he stood to shake hands with Alpha Rick. Seth was the Alpha of White Fang pack, my Fathers latest ally in the world of werewolves.  My father was set on making allies with as many packs as possible in the coming months before I took over, his worry evident every time he spoke of me taking over. Not because he feared I was weak, quite the opposite in fact. He was worried fear of the other packs would push them to join forces and attack our pack once my secret was out. I am faster, stronger and bigger than all the other Alphas in these lands, and will only become greater once I find my mate. If I ever find my mate, my true mate. ‘’I look forward to many years working side by side Seth, My Son will be a useful ally to your pack and honour our bond once he takes over, wont you Ash?’’ My Fathers voice broke me out my chain of thoughts. ‘’Oh yes, of course. It will be an honour to have your pack as our ally Alpha Seth’’ I spoke, standing to shake the hand of this Alpha, my hands almost twice his hand size, I noticed the look of surprise flash across his face as if he had not noticed my size and power before I had stood before him shaking his hand. Alpha Seth and his ranked members left the office, escorted by the Omega who had been serving lunch earlier. ‘’Dad, surly that’s enough of this bull crap now. No one is going to try and take us on you need to stop worrying. It is making me look weak, like Daddy has to make sure his baby boy is protected by other packs before he can hand the reins’’ I laughed, but there was truth in my words, it annoyed the s**t outta me that he did this. ‘’Son, you know men do stupid things when they are frightened. I am only giving you and the pack every chance I can at peace and prosperity. Its bad enough you couldn’t have the training you needed as a pup without putting you in a situation where we don’t know how the other packs reactions ’’ He was right of course, as much as I hated to admit it. Our own pack were bad enough when my father introduced my Mother to the pack as his mate and luna. Her own clan had banished her and disowned her. The reason being, my mother was not a she-wolf, she was a dragon shifter. She was beautiful, powerful and feared, but fate was unkind and she died 25 years ago at my birth. As I had no entitlement to her clan following her banishment, and she had passed away, I had no dragon shifting training, I had never shifted into my dragoon form, only my wolf form. Dragons are funny creatures, not funny ha ha but funny as in solitude and very different to wolves. Wolves are pack animals so like to be around their own. Total opposites. The only way my dragon would truly come out was if my life was in danger or if my true mate was found. Dragons are even more possessive than wolves, and even more aggressive than wolves, so to be in a possessive mate frenzy or battle rage, that would absolutely bring my dragon out. This is what my Father feared. When I was born, there were questions to whether I would be were-wolf or Dragon shifter.. turned out I was both. No one knew this as I had never shifted into my Dragon form so it was assumed I was a full were-wolf. This had made many more at ease, but as I grew older and became of age my power and size grew. My dragon started communicating with me when I reached 17 just one year before I became of age where I would possibly find a mate. He had slept the first 17 years within my mind as was never called by me to come forward and shift.  My father had almost had a heart attack when I told him I had a dragon as well as my wolf. ‘’Red Moon Pack’’ I heard my Father say ‘’No f*cking way.. We are not being allies with those mutts!’’ I shouted back. ‘’I am the Alpha here still Ash, and we will be visiting their pack to forge an alliance tomorrow! Do not dare disrespect me’’ my father boomed while slamming a fist on his desk. ‘’Alpha, Dad… they are a disgrace to our kind. That Alpha Axel is anyway, They don’t respect the Moon Gooddess. They are everything we are not!’’ I stated as respectfully as my temper would allow. My father sighed, ‘’Yes, I know Asher. But they are a large pack. A powerful pack, and as you said, Axel is not one to play nicely, so we need to ensure he respects our pack. Its called keeping your friends close and well.. the not so friendly ones closer.’’ He gave an apologetic smile. There was no changing his mind, but I guessed by meeting this Alpha Axel it would give us chance to size him and his pack up for future reference. ‘’OK, well I don’t like it one bit. But as you said you are our Alpha and I will respect your decisions even if I don’t like them.’’ I couldn’t be fairer than that. ‘’There is one more thing son. He has stated as part of the agreement. I am to take his daughter as my chosen Luna. He wishes for her security as I do yours’’ You have got to be shitting me!
