Rod managed to get through to the flabbergasted Sergeant Stumpel the next morning and experienced no problems convincing the sergeant to allow our group of amateur detectives to visit him in Maris. Rod was on police duty but received permission to leave the Mantle district because the journey involved a long-unsolved missing person’s case. He asked me if I had any objections if he picked up Abie, if she was available, and bring her along with him to Maris. Of course, I had no objections.
