At times, time flies. Toni and Jay got married a couple of months after their graduation. The little sneaks were married in a civil ceremony at the Mayor’s office and said nothing about it to us family members until after the fact. Crystal and I speculated that Toni had likely managed to retain her virginity throughout all of the years they lived together, but one or both of them decided that this milestone needed to end. With Toni working full time and not having tuition expenses, she was able to help me pay for Jay’s tuition and living expenses. They remained in that same apartment near the university until Jay finished his PhD in Astrophysics.
