Chapter 2

Background

YeonA's POV

Walking into the building I've known for over 4 years, I follow Lucy quietly and awkwardly through the elevator's doors, heading up to the top floor of the SM entertainment building.

"You don't have to act like that," Lucy blurted out, getting the attention of her friend. YeonA turned her attention to her, "what do you mean?"

Lucy turned back around and just stared at her feet, "I can see your face- you're uncomfortable." She sighed and looked up.

"I'm not uncomfortable," YeonA says, "it's just that ever since the accident," she stopped for a moment before continuing, "you've started acting weird whenever we're with them."

"Yeah," she sighs, "I know. It's just that knowing what he did, I can't act the same way anymore." She then started fanning herself with her hands.

As the elevator doors open, I exit first, waiting for her to follow my steps. "Look, if you ever wanna leave, just tell me," I gave her a warm smile before knocking on EXO's door.

"Come in!" After hearing their happy virus yell from the other side, I slowly turn the knob and open the door.

"Finally the girls are here!" Their youngest, and my bias from them, came and gave us both an iced cappuccino.

"Yeah, so what was it that was so urgent?" I asked and gladly accepted the cappuccino and walked in, ignoring the stares coming from one specific man.

(A/N: Yes I am an EXO-L, and I've always loved them with 12 members, so I'll be including all 12)

Since they were all sprawled out on the floor, except for Sehun, they all suddenly stood up. "Since what happened happened," the pink haired manly-girly started, he turned around for his leader for help.

"We wanted to apologize to you girls on the behalf of-" Lucy clapped her hands, getting the attention of all 12 boys, "there's no need for that."

"Yes, there is," all heads then turn to the man at the corner of the room. With small steps, he carefully walks to the front of his members, now standing right in front of the girl who he broke.

"I know what I did to you caused so many problems in your life-" Lay was about to interfere when the man stopped him, "and I know that we'll never be the same."

Lay stands at the side, carefully examining his younger member, "go on." The man then did, "I wanted to apologize for what I did."

"Wow, Kim Jong In is finally apologizing huh?" Lucy finally snapped, "do you really think that I would forgive you that easy?" The man, known as Kai, took a step back, "no, but-"

"Kai, for a stupid reason, you broke my heart. And I will never forgive you for that," Lucy barked at him before turning to Lay, "you can tell YeonA what you wanted to say because I'm leaving."

With that, Lucy left and slammed the door behind her. "At least you tried," EXO's happy virus, Chanyeol, was slowly patting the younger one's shoulder.

"Yeah but I failed!" Ignoring Kai's sighs, YeonA turn to the rest of the boys. "We wanted to give you girls a sincere apology over his mistake," Suho said once again.

"You guys don't have to," I tell them, "at least not to me." I gave them a small smile and turned to Luhan since he opened his pink lips, "yes we do because it was sort of our faults as well."

"What do you mean?" I crossed both my arms and stared right at him. "The story you've told isn't the full one," Luhan looks over to Baekyun, "not even close."

After time passes by, MONSTA X and iKON are now dramatically playing games of pool and a set of poker.

"And that's how you win," B.I smirks and gets all the chips, leaving none for the younger dorks.

"How are you always winning?" Chan, their youngest, whines and kicks a nearby rock, sending it flying a few inches away.

"It's called being lucky," B.I replies, "my friend." He stands up and stretches, heading over to the pool game that's being played by June and Wonho.

"Wow, four to four, who's gonna win?" B.I informs and starts betting on Wonho, "not even your member," Shownu walks down the steps of the small bar.

"I would, but it was because of him that we lost," B.I mentions their last meeting.

"I still can't believe you did that man," Jay, silver hair, goes up to the taller one and pats his left shouler.

June sighs before saying, "I was drunk okay? And besides," he stops himself for a moment before scoring, "I didn't feel like winning that s*x-to-doll thing." He smirks and walks away, sitting on the big brown leather couch.

"Then why did you do it?" Bobby follow the younger one's steps, then throwing himself on the couch.

"Why did you agree to do it in the first place?" Bobby adds, messing with his upper-parted curly black hair.

"I honestly don't know that myself," June truthfully answers him, crossing both arms and legs.

Flashback

Walking into the club, all 14 boys stand face to face with their so-called-dolls.

"Alright, you all know the rules, who's ever team is the longest wins a prize given by the opposite team," B.I informs.

They all nodded and went to their preferable doll. While they all head into their arranged room, the timer almost immediately starts.

While all 13 boys are too busy having their "fun time," one specific man, boy, is too busy in his own world.

"C'mon baby," the girl kept on forcing herself onto the black haired man, June. "No," he got her off once, twice, three times before he got a bottle of wine and juged it all down at once.

"Hey, come and have some fun," the black and brown haired girl started stripping off her clothes when June stopped her.

"Don't, I don't want to have any fun," June said before throwing his body on the king sized bed.

He covered himself with the blanket, and slept for fifteen minutes before realising again the whole reason why he was there in the first place.

When he opened his eyes, he saw the girl on her phone, with her clothes fully on. "So are we gonna do it now?" She turns her head to the right and stares directly at him.

"Look I'm sorry," he started, "but I never wanted to do this in the first place." He side-smiled before standing up, heading out the door and sitting down on one of the seats near the bar.

Then one by one, thirteen faces started appearing.

"Alright, let's see the results," all heads turn to their host, no other than Lee Taeyong.

"For iKON's time was an hour and five minutes, for Monsta X was an hour and ten minutes."

"What!? An hour and five minutes?" B.I looked at his members, "which one of you was the shortest?"

Since Kihyun was the second one to come out, he was the one who pointed at June, "I saw him here before me, and that's because I was the second one."

June then looked at him in disbelief, "thanks for selling me out."

Flashback ends

Bobby was still mysteriously staring at the younger one. "Enough about me - why don't we talk about Wonho?"

All heads then turn to June, "why would we want to talk about him?" Shownu asks, taking a sip from his raspberry wine.

"Because of what happened last week," they all then start to remember the time when Wonho had beaten Taehyun in a basketball game.

"That was a close call," Kihyun fist-bumps Jooheon, "if it wasn't for me, Wonho wouldn't even have won." He praises himself over what had happened.

Flashback

As it was their last game, Shin Hoseok vs. Nam Taehyun, Kihyun quickly yelled out "Winner," making Taehyun stumble and Wonho snatching the ball from him.

Flashback ends

"That poor guy," Jay comments and goes out of the basement, heading to his hotel room.

YeonA's POV

"What do you mean by that?" I asked my brother, looking straight at him. "The only part of story you girls know is that Kai broke up with Lucy because of a girl," he reminded.

"And that wasn't the point of it?" I asked him. Baekyun shakes his head and continues, "this is what you girls know..."

Flashback

It has already been two months since they started dating.

Lucy was waiting on the beach for her beloved boyfriend, Kim Jong-in, also known as Kai. She waited for five minutes, turning into ten, then thirty.

Then as soon as it reached an hour, Lucy sighed and stood up, "did he forget or what?"

She struggled to keep her feet moving as they were full of mud from the shallow water. While walking, she looked down, not caring about the world in this moment.

Then suddenly, her feet were met with a pair of black leather slack shoes. She slowly looks up to see an emotionless Jong-In, hovering above her.

"I'm sorry for making you wait this long," he started, "but I don't think that I can be able to keep up with this."

Lucy gasped and took a step back, "wh-what? Why?" She stuttered, unable to keep her vision cleared as it was getting blurred up from her tears.

"There's someone else who came into my life," he looked ahead of her, with a tear falling, "I'm sorry." And with that he left, leaving without a proper goodbye.

Flashback ends

"That's the part you girls only know," Suho said, looking at Lay. "But it's not what really happened," Lay informed.

"Then what is the actual reason?" Lucy asked, standing by the door way. "Since when did you get in?" Sehun asked her, drinking his bubble tea.

"Since when did you get that?" Chanyeol asked now, sitting down on the brown leather couch. Sehun just shrugged.

Lucy walked up next to me, crossing her arms as she stared at her brother. "This is the actual story..."

Flashback starts

It was the day before their anniversary when Kai walked into the club, meeting up with his friend.

"So how's it going with you and your girl?" He asked him, taking a sip from his glass of liquor.

"It's going fine," he said emotionally, looking up at the mirror-like walls.

"Jeesh, did something happen between the two of you?" His friend asked, asking for another glass for his friend.

"Taemin, it's just that these days have been f****d up for me," he ignored the glare Taemin gave him for cursing out.

"How so?" Taemin asked him and took out his phone to check the time.

"It's just that," he sighs and looks down at his hands, "it's been getting harder to concentrate these days. Like I get srressed out easily and I hate it."

Taemin takes out a small wrapper, "you're gonna hate me for this," he informed before opening it, "but then you're gonna love me for it."

Kai furrows his eyebrows and turns his head to the left to see what Taemin was doing. Kai's eyes go wide as he sees white power on Taemin's fingers.

"Taemin, what are you doing?" He whispered-growled. "This is what you need, just trust me on this-" Kai interrupted Taemin.

"Do you want to get us in trouble!? Why drugs of all things?" Taemin rolled his eyes, "Kai we won't get in trouble. This thing," he points at the white powder, "has helped me a lot."

Taemin pours some on Kai's palm, "just try it." And with little hope, Kai ends up doing what he's told.

His widen just for a second before shaking his head, "no I can't." Taemin smirks, "it's tempting isn't it?"

Kai looks at him, "I so am going to hate you for this," and with that, Kai grabs a pile from Taemin, jugging it down his throat.

"If I'm going to be doing this," he points at the powder, "I can't tell Lucy about it."

The next day came and it was seven, an hour before he has to meet his girlfriend, or soon-to-be-ex.

"Kai? What are you still doing here?" Lay stood right next to Kai, looking out at the city from the balcony. "Aren't you suppose to be meeting my sister in an hour?"

Kai looks down before starting, "Lay, there's something I have to tell you..."

After thirty minutes, Lay is just furiously ranting out on Kai. "What the heck is wrong with you!? Drugs!? Is that the only solution you can think of!? Drugs!? If you think that you're gonna date my sister while being on drugs I suggest you brake up with her immediately! IMMIDEDIATELY!"

Lay forcefully pushed Kai into his room, then pushing him down stairs to where the others are.

"Kai? Aren't you suppose to be meeting Lucy in half-an-hour?" Sehun asked, drinking his bubble tea. "Guys there's something Kai has to say first," Lay pushed Kai to the middle of the living room.

After he told them what happened, they've been scolding him for an hour and a half before telling him to meet at the beach, that if she's still waiting.

Flashback ends

"And that's what really happened," Lay stated. All heads then turn to Lucy, with her face all flushed.

"Lucy?" I called out to her and was about to touch her shoulder when she walks forward forcing everyone out of her way and towards Kim Jong-In.
