9. Undescribed Feelings

Lindsy POV:

I felt so enraged by that doctor. How come she talks to me that way?

I didn’t know what got into me to answer her like that.

I felt challenged. How come? I wasn’t the Luna yet.

Henry held my hand and took me outside, he was in such a rush.

I didn’t know if it was because of the way I spoke to one of his pack members.

Suddenly, he held me tight in his embrace. I wasn’t expecting that, but I kind of liked it.

Actually, I was enjoying it a lot, it felt warm, I felt protected and, I don’t know why, but it felt so right, I could spend the whole day having his arms wrapped around me.

“I’m sorry you had to go through that” he whispered.

“Henry, no, it’s fine. I knew that there would be challenges ahead, but I’m feeling attached to the pack already”, I told him.

Was Henry my mate? I didn’t know, he was holding me and it felt nice.

I closed my eyes and I felt it. I felt the little tingles and the warmness filling my body.

I was so sure that Henry was my mate.

But I wouldn’t say anything. I’m going to wait for when I turn 18, the mating age.

Another thought made me uneased. Why couldn’t he feel it?

I thought that the mate bond was always mutual. I guess I was wrong.

Because if he felt it, he was playing a hell of a good role to don’t show up, but why would he hold it back?

I couldn’t find any reason.

Henry was indeed different from my father and he was changing the way I always thought of how an Alpha was.

I used to think that all the Alphas were like my father and I would have to live a life like my mother did. I would live looking down, accepting, cleaning, checking and ordering the Omegas.

But Henry was opening my eyes and I could see that there was more to it than I imagined and I was enjoying it.

I can see that Henry was very respectful, caring and sweet, he was always such a gentleman.

But from that to the pull of the mate bond, there’s a long distance between those.

I sighed, I felt trapped by my own feelings.

Henry held my hand and we kept walking around the Pack.

We entered another huge building and once inside, my breath just hitched.

"Henry..." I whispered, spinning around like I was in the most amazing place ever. "I've never seen so many books in my life before."

He chuckled.

"That's the pack's library. I can take you here anytime you want." he told me, and I hugged him.

After a few minutes, we left and he stopped by an ice cream shop and we had some before going back to the Pack House.

I was mesmerized by the Pack. It was the most wonderful pack ever, I was so sure of it.

We spent the next days together. Henry showed me how he received the orders and how the distributor works. How they sort out the goods until the trucks take the food to the pack’s destination.

He introduced me to the warriors and he even promised me to train me. I was so excited by everything.

I felt drawn to the pack already, I cared for each wolf, I cared for everything and I was willing to do whatever it takes for me to be someone important for them, not because I was going to be the Luna, but I wanted to be someone everyone knew they could always count on me, because of me and not because of my status.

I was happy until the day that Randall and Susan would leave the Black Moon Pack came. I was sobbing nonstop, I cared so much for them.

Especially Susan, as soon as I become the Luna, I would do whatever I can to get to the bottom of Susan’s case.

I knew her name was Susan Redfield, her surname was almost like mine. I’m Redcliff and Susan was Redfield and she’s a doctor.

I would gather all the information I could and I would make sure that whoever abused her would be forever locked in the dungeon, if not killed.

“Susan, Randall, I’m going to miss you guys so badly. Thank you for everything you have done for me until now”, I said as tears were falling nonstop from my eyes.

They hugged me and I cried even more.

“You’ll be an amazing Luna, Lindsy. And I’m sure that both of you will be very happy together”, Randall told me, and I stopped crying thinking about his words.

“He’s right, Lindsy. You both deserve all the happiness in this world”, Susan said and glanced at Henry. “Please, don’t make this happiness go away from you, I can see how much you care for each other”, she finished and I blushed.

“Now come on, it’s morning and we’ll have Henry’s Alpha Ceremony in a couple of hours. We’ll only leave this evening” she said, and I nodded.

We got dressed in Susan’s room and Susan put some make-up on me and I’ve never felt so happy in my life. I loved to have these 'girls' alone' times.

We were laughing nonstop as Susan was giving me some steamy tips.

“I don’t think I could ever do those kind of things”, I told her honestly. I was blushing fiercely.

“Oh, trust me, pup. You will” she said, and we laughed.

“All right, this is my most amazing masterpiece ever” she said, and I stood up and stared at myself in the mirror and I was startled.

“Goddess, Susan. Is she really me?” I asked her and she chuckled.

I was wearing a very beautiful black dress. Black and white are the color of the Pack, the white color means the color of the Moon Goddess, the make-up was beautifully done and she could make my green eyes highlighted with black eyeliner. She put on some red lipstick.

I felt glamorous, beautiful and powerful.

“She is, pup. You look stunning like a Queen” she said, and I sighed.

“You’re amazing” I told her honestly.

Then I heard someone knocking on the door and she opened it.

“Alice, I miss you” Susan said and I startled.

I stood up at a jolt and a beautiful and long ginger-haired woman came in.

“Your Highness” I bowed down, she was Queen Alice, the Queen of the Dragons.

“Oh please, we’re kind of family now. I’m so happy for you and Henry, you’re so beautiful. Henry got really lucky this time” she said, and I frowned at the last thing she said; “you can call me Alice, no formalities and I wouldn’t miss the chance to get to know the future Luna of my past pack and Henry’s Alpha ceremony, he truly deserves it” she said.

She looks so nice.

“How are the pups?” Susan asked her.

“Well, mated, busy and studying” she said, chuckling.

“Today it’s Liam, Conri and I” she said, and I frowned.

“Queen Alice, will King Conri also be here for the ceremony?” I asked her.

“Of course, Liam went to meet Conri and they will teleport here when the time comes” she said, and my heart raced.

“Oh Goddess” I said as I felt my spine quivering and I was almost throwing up out of anxiety.

“Hey, don’t worry, you’re beautiful, you’re going to be fine” she said, patting my back. “Let me help you” she said and waved her hand at me and I felt better.

“How did you do that?” I asked her. I felt relaxed now.

“I’ve been practicing some healing spells” she chuckled, offering me some water.

“Thank you so much” I said before sipping it.

“Have you and Henry already mated?” she asked and I almost spit out the water. I coughed about three times.

Susan and Alice laughed louder.

“I think that means no” they said in unison.

“It’s only been a week I’m here” I told them.

“Do you feel the tingles, right?” Alice asked me and I frowned.

“How do you know?”

“Well, isn’t Henry your mate?”

“How do you know that?” I asked her again and she smiled at me.

“I have special powers” she said.

“Can you say if he feels the same?” I asked her.

She was about to answer me but Susan cut her.

“Oh, I think it’s about time for us to go” Susan said, checking the time.

Henry POV:

I was dressing up for the Alpha’s ceremony.

But my mind couldn’t go anywhere too far from Lindsy.

“You’re taking too long, Henry. You saw what happened to your friend”, Chaos said, referring to the nightmares and the withdrawal symptoms Randall used to have when he and Susan were apart even without having mating.

“She’s right here next to me” I told him.

“It’ll be worse for us ever since she’s right here and we’re not claiming her” Chaos said.

I sighed.

I checked myself in the mirror, I blow-dried my hair back and I was wearing a black social outfit, a white social shirt and I grabbed a black tie.

Suddenly, her jasmine and lavender scent invaded my nostrils.

I looked at her and I froze in my spot, my breath hitched. I’m sure that no other woman could ever look this good as her.

“Lindsy…” I whispered and she was staring intently at me.

“You look stunning”, I told her honestly and she smiled.

“You too, Alpha” she said and I thanked the Goddess it was my ceremony today or else I would have her pinned under me and rip all her clothes off.

She grabbed my tie from my hand, placed it on my shirt collar and she made the knot for me.

She was so close, too close.

She quickly made it beautifully and I was impressed.

Her gaze found mine and we were only a few inches apart from each other. I caressed her silk face with my fingers, my touch was like a light feather on her skin.

She didn’t move away. I leaned closer to her and I could hear her heartbeat.

Last thing I knew, I pressed my lips on her ones.

“Finally, she tastes good”, Chaos said and I had to agree with him.

I quickly parted so I wouldn’t mess with her lipstick, even though that was what I most wanted to do right now.

I wrapped my arms around her beautiful body and she wrapped her arms around my neck.

I instantly got harder than I was before when I smelled her intoxicated scent.

I took a lungful of her scent and parted our embrace so she wouldn’t feel the bulge on my trousers.

“Shall we, my Luna?” I asked her, offering my arms, smiling at her, and she smiled at me like she was snapping out of her thoughts.

“Yes, my Alpha” she told me, still smiling, wrapping her arm around mine and we made our way out.

When we went downstairs, Liam and Conri were in the living room.

I greeted them and they glanced at Lindsy.

“Luna Lindsy, I’m Liam Venctury, The Dragon’s King and Alice’s mate, nice to meet you” Liam greeted her.

“I’m Conri Lincoln, the King of Alphas, nice to meet you” Conri also greeted her.

“Oh, Your Highness, it’s my pleasure” Lindsy said almost bowing down. I could see she was uneased.

“Please, we’re friends now, don’t need no formalities” Conri winked at her and I had to hold back a growl. Was I feeling possessive over her already?

“True, we have been friends for way too long and you’re part of it now”, Liam told her and she relaxed.

“Thank you” she said before she smiled at them.

We made our way to the cars and we all left, Randall with Susan, Liam with Alice and I was with my beautiful mate, Lindsy.

“So that means you accepted her?” Chaos asked me.

"Maybe. We will talk about it later. She’s too stunning for me to think about it right now. I’d mate and mark her today if we didn’t have this ceremony right now”, I told Chaos and he howled in victory.

How could I explain to my horny wolf what a ‘maybe’ meant?

I shook off the thought and I glanced at Lindsy again. She was on the passenger side and I held her hand. She looked at me and smiled.

Then she intertwined her fingers in mine.

I drove to the city where the pack members were united waiting for us and I was enjoying the tingles and electric jolts that our skin contact was making me feel.

I just wished she could feel something at that point.

“She is feeling, you moron, or else she wouldn’t let you kiss her”, Chaos said and he was right.

She couldn’t feel the pull like I did but I know that maybe a few days before she turns 18, she could feel something more intense than just a superficial attraction and I could tell her that we’re mates and I’ll explain that I didn’t tell her before because I didn’t want to take advantage of it.

“Superficial attraction? Seriously, Henry, you were smarter before”, Chaos told me.

“Well, 'before' I didn’t have a mate to avoid me, cheat on me and reject me, I had to go through all the pain there is about the mate bond, Chaos. I have always treasured the mate bond and I want to make sure that my mate also treasures it as much as I do. How could you simply forget about it?” I asked him.

“I didn’t, but we didn’t mate or mark her either, Henry. Lindsy is not that w***e, she’s sweet, naïve, caring and you’re taking her for granted and I won’t let you. I want her to get to know me and you better do it today or I’ll force shift”, he said and I knew he was serious.

We arrived in the city and many pack member was hooraying us. Hunter was on a stage they made in front of the security building for the ceremony.
