7. A New Life

Lindsy POV:

We heard a door opening and Henry intertwined our fingers.

I glanced at our hands and it just felt so right.

We made our way down and when we sat down to have breakfast, Randall joined us.

“I’m glad you two are getting along just fine, you’ll be happy there with Henry, Lindsy”, Randall told me, and I felt myself blushing.

“Thank you, Alpha Randall” I said, and Henry stiffed.

Not long after, everyone else joined us and we ate in silence. I felt good with Henry beside me.

As soon as we both finished, Henry broke the silence.

“Well, I guess we’ll go up and start to pack your things, Lindsy, what do you say? Are you OK with that?” Henry asked me and it was the first time that somebody asked me if I was OK with something. I felt my heart get warmer over Henry’s reaction.

I smiled at him.

“I’d like that, let’s go, then” I said, and I noticed Henry startled a little and my father smiled in approval.

I wondered why. Wasn’t that what we planned?

Did I act like I was throwing myself over him?

I also got uneasy by this thought, I’d apologize to Henry.

We left and I grabbed some suitcases. I don’t have much, so I wouldn’t pack much, only my clothes, my lotions, some accessories, personal hygiene objects, shoes and my cellphone because of some pictures I took.

As soon as I entered the room, I turned to Henry but I kept looking down. I couldn’t help it.

“Henry, I’m sorry if it looked like I tossed myself over you” I said and he lifted my chin with his finger, making me stare at him.

Goddess, he looked so fine.

“It didn’t look like it at all, actually I kind of liked it” he said and I stiffed, there was some truth in his eyes and if he kissed me right at that moment, I would give in so easily.

“It’s because nobody ever asks my opinions or if I’m OK with something” I said and his face frowned now and his finger left my chin.

“I’m sorry you had to go through this kind of thing” he said and I just shook my head.

“It’s fine” I said and I packed all my stuff and Henry took the suitcases to the car.

We were outside and we’re leaving.

I hugged my mom.

“I’ll miss you, mom, please mind-link me all the time” I said. The mind-link connection with the pack members will no longer be possible after I leave the Pack because I’m moving to another Pack, but we still have the related connection that worked doesn’t matter where I was. I noticed she frowned.

“It'd be better if we call each other, honey. That would be more appropriate” she said and I nodded.

Maybe she wanted me to be transparent with Henry and not hide anything from him.

I hugged my brother.

“I’ll miss you, sis, you take care and be happy” he said and I cupped his face.

“I love you, Leon. If you ever need me, you know where I am”, I told him.

My father was there with Beta Hans.

I just bowed down.

“Goodbye, Alpha. Beta Hans”

I turned my back on them.

“We will see you in a few weeks if that’s OK with Henry and Randall?” my father said and they nodded.

Henry opened the door for me to get onto the back seat.

He walked around the car, I noticed he stiffed and he opened the other side of the back seat and sat beside me.

“It might take a while, you can take a nap if you want to”, Henry told me, but I was too anxious to take a nap now, I wanted to see the road, the forests, the earth, the sand, the trees and everything I hadn't ever seen.

“I’m excited to see how the world is outside the Silver Moon Pack” I told him and he chuckled.

Henry POV:

Before we left, I opened the door of the back seat for Lindsy. I would get into the passenger seat as Randall was already on the driver seat but I noticed Lindsy’s suitcases were at the passenger seat, I glanced at Randall and he winked at me smirking.

That wolf is so dead.

I made my way onto the back seat by Lindsy’s side.

“It might take a while, you can take a nap if you want to” I told her, it’d be easier if she was asleep.

“I’m excited to see how the world is outside the Silver Moon Pack” she told me and I chuckled.

Somehow, I felt bad for her, but I’m glad she’s free now.

“For now, soon I’ll have her pinned under me moaning lustfully” Chaos said and I stiffed.

“Now it isn’t the time, Chaos” I replied to him.

“It never is with you, you cockblocker” he said and I rolled my eyes.

I wouldn’t ask about her past now, she might feel uneased by Randall’s presence.

After an hour and a half, I was checking the Pack’s security system through my laptop and I felt Lindsy laying her head on my shoulder. I was startled by the electric jolt she made me feel.

I closed the laptop and I peeked at her beautiful face and she was asleep.

I smiled, leaned back until I was comfortable and I embraced her, placing her head on my chest, I ran my fingers on her silk face and she felt goosebumps. I chuckled over her reaction to my touch.

At least at that moment, I could hold her like I wanted to.

“Our mate is so f*****g beautiful, don’t ruin it for my c**k’s sake, Henry” Chaos said. He’s never been that horny before, not even when it was with Stacy.

He was always confused and lost.

She was indeed intoxicating me.

She wrapped her arm around my waist on its own accord and she relaxed even more.

I instantly got hard and the bulge on my trousers was very clear.

I placed my jacket on my lap but I had another gaze following me.

“You met her yesterday, can you imagine what I’ve been through being away from my mate for twenty years having only my hand to keep me company?” Randall mind-linked me laughing.

“Can we please try to talk about something else? Things are getting harder here”, I replied to him and he laughed louder.

After an hour, she opened her eyes and we were still in the same position.

She was startled.

“Alpha Henry, I’m so sorry” she said, blushing fiercely as she was straightening up and running her hand over her hair and I found it the most adorable thing ever.

“Don’t worry, you fell asleep and laid on my shoulder. You’d have a stiff neck if you kept in that position, so I’m the one who made you feel more comfortable”. I let her know and she smiled at me.

“Well, thank you” she said, blushing.

“I love to see her blushing like that” Chaos said, and I had to agree with him this time.

After a couple of hours more, we made it to our pack.

“We’re entering the Black Moon Pack, Lindsy” I told her.

The guards opened the gate and we made our way in.

She was staring at everything with awe.

“It’s so beautiful, the Black Moon Pack is indeed a great Pack” she said, staring outside, making me feel good and proud of myself.

When we reached the Pack House, Hunter was already there waiting for us.

“Don’t worry, I’ve mind-linked him already”, Randall said, and I couldn’t have been more glad.

“Luna Lindsy” he said, bowing down, making Lindsy's eyes open wide.

“Please, just Lindsy, I’m not used to formalities” she said, looking down and I chuckled, she was so sweet.

We had to keep on pretending, even inside the Pack House because of the Omegas, we shouldn’t let anyone know that I wanted Lindsy to be free from her dad’s clueless orders.

Especially because he’ll be coming in a couple of weeks to see her, but I wouldn’t rush her into doing anything she wouldn’t feel comfortable with. We can always figure things out until she turns 18.

“Or you can just stop being a cockblocker and make her fall in love with you” Chaos said.

“She just got here, Chaos. We also need to check if she’s trustful yet. Have you imagined if they were all pretending only to reach our Pack?” I told Chaos and he barked at me.

“Please tell me you’re not that traumatized over that slut who rejected us”, Chaos said, and I put him in the back of my mind.

I can’t ever forget that she’s the daughter of that Alpha and I have to be on my guard up.

I can’t just give in like that, even though I wanted to, my body urged me to and my heart was craving for her.

I wouldn’t just dive right in like I did in the past, I had to be careful, for my pack and for my heart’s sake, because if I even got to kiss her, I would definitely get drowned in her because the pull I was feeling now was stronger than anything I’ve ever felt.

Lindsy POV:

We entered the Pack House and I was staring at everything in awe.

“Hello, Lindsy, I’m Susan, it’s so nice to meet you” a beautiful blonde with green eyes told me, she was glowing and she was glamorous.

Oh, she was Susan, the Luna.

“Luna Susan, it’s nice to meet you too” I said, bowing down.

She just hugged me after it and she was so nice and warm. I already liked her.

I smiled at her.

“Lunch is served, the omegas also made some tea” a woman said. She looked at me and got closer.

“Luna Lindsy, I’m Odete, the head of the Omegas, I’m looking forward to working for you” she said, and I glanced at Randall, Henry and Susan.

I wondered if it was OK if I be nice to her.

“Odete, thank you, she’s not used to the Pack yet, we’ll be going in a few.” Susan said, and I was relieved.

We all went to the dining table. It was big, ten wolves could easily fit.

I sat by Henry’s side and an omega put a plate with a sandwich and a cup of tea for me.

“Thank you” I said smiling, and I was startled and I glanced at them again. They didn’t even seem to notice, to my utter relief.

Then the other omegas did the same for them and they also thanked them.

I felt happy and relieved.

Henry noticed how uneased I was before.

“Are you OK?” he asked me and I just nodded, smiling at him.

“I will show you the pack tomorrow” he said.

“I’d like that, thank you” I said, smiling at him, and he smiled back at me.

Even though I just got here, I felt welcome.

Not at all like in the Silver Moon Pack, I could be happy here by Henry’s side.

I was sure of it, we could be together.

I knew about the Pack’s political matters, the Royal laws and pretty much almost everything that was related to the Werewolves' Realm. I always studied about it.

I just had to learn about the Black Moon Pack’s laws and get to know everything about the Pack and its members.

I felt a determination and urge to care for the Pack and its Wolves.

“Henry, do you have a library in the Pack House?” I asked him and he nodded.

“Sure, I’ll show you around after you’re done eating. It was a long trip, you should finish your lunch” he said and I nodded.

I quickly finished and drank the tea. It was delicious.

Henry took me to the Pack House’s library and my mouth opened on its own accord.

I smiled over that many books.

He noticed how happy I was and he got closer, holding my hands.

“Tomorrow I will show you the Pack’s library in the city, it’s way bigger than that” he said making me gasp.

Bigger than that?

I think I’m in heaven right now.

“Do you have books about the Black Moon Pack and its laws?” I asked him and he frowned.

“Really? We do, but it's kind of boring to read”, he said.

“It’s fine, I love to read books and I have to get to know everything about the Black Moon Pack ever since it’ll be my home from now on”, I said and I hugged him, but I quickly parted my embrace or else I wouldn’t let him go anymore.
