19. The Alpha

Lindsy POV:

I was in my mate’s lap when I heard a knocking on the door.

“Come in”, Henry said, and Eva made her way inside his office smiling, but her smile quickly vanished from her face and she frowned when she saw I was in Henry’s lap.

“What’s going on?” she asked us.

I try to stand up but Henry tightens his grip on me, making me giggle.

“Where do you think you’re going? You belong right here on my lap in my chair” he said firmly, and Eva got enraged.

“I asked; What’s going on?” she yelled.

“Well, Eva, I want to let you know that we are aware of what you tried to do to me at the Hospital. It’s such a shame, a doctor trying to kill a patient and over what? We called you here to let you know that you have 30 minutes to pack your stuff and get out of our Pack. You’re banished”, I told her firmly, and she frowned even more.

I glanced at Henry and he was holding me possessively on his lap.

“I didn’t do anything against you, are you crazy?” she stormed out at me and her gaze found my Henry. “Henry, please, you can’t let her manipulate you like that” she said softly to him, smiling at him, and I let out a slight growl in my chest.

I frowned, I didn’t know how I'd done that ever since my wolf is going to wake up in only a month and a couple of weeks from now.

I stood up and I slammed my hand on the desk. Henry couldn’t hold me back now.

I opened Henry’s laptop and I pressed the space-bar to play the security camera footage and I showed her the video of herself poisoning my food at the Hospital, right outside the Luna’s door. Her face almost fell on the floor and she was desperate now.

“Henry, please, I can explain, we belong to be together, Henry” she said out loud.

Henry was about to say something but I slapped her face with all the strength I had in my being. She fell on the floor.

“He’s not your f*****g mate, he’s mine” I shouted at her and her eyes opened wide “get out of this pack right now”. I told her firmly, and I could feel my aura expanding.

She had no choice but to obey me. She stormed out of the office like she was running for her life and, trust me, she definitely was.

I turned to face Henry and he had a frowning face and then I realized how rude I'd been.

“I’m sorry, Henry” I said, looking down.

He stood up at once and lifted me in his arms as I wrapped my legs around him like my body was acting on its own accord. He kissed me and licked my lips, I felt electric jolts spreading all over my being and I parted my lips welcoming his tongue in and we swirled our tongues around like a perfect dance.

Henry POV:

I was going to stand for my mate but before I could say anything, Lindsy acted like the perfect Luna she was. I felt her powerful aura expanding and when she claimed me by saying that I was hers, I couldn’t help myself. Chaos was howling in victory in my mind.

Eva left and Lindsy turned to look at me.

“I’m sorry, Henry” she said, looking down, and my first reaction was to lift her in my arms and kiss her like my life depended on having my lips on hers. She tasted so good.

“You’re my perfect Luna, Lindsy” I told her and she looked at me with so much love in her eyes that I couldn’t help but kiss her again.

I sat on my chair again with Lindsy in my lap and we spent the next minutes kissing each other, parting our kiss only to take a lungful of air to kiss again.

“She tastes so sweet, I want to lick every inch of her edible body” Chaos told me.

“Me too”, I agreed with him.

Until we last parted and Alex mind-linked me.

“Alpha, I just want to let you know that Eva just left the Pack”

“Thanks for letting me know, Alex” I replied to him.

Lindsy noticed I was mind-linking someone.

“Is everything all right?” she asked me and I smiled at her.

“Everything is fine now, Alex let me know that Eva has just left the Black Moon Pack”, I told her and she smiled at me.

“Henry, then now is about time to finally send Mueller to the dungeon” she told me and I kissed her forehead.

I grabbed my cellphone and called Randall.

“Henry, you OK?” Randall asked me and I chuckled.

“Never been better actually” I said, staring at Lindsy and running my fingers through her silk face, she leaned into my caresses and kissed my thumb, staring at me with those mesmerizing green eyes. That was so sexy and she didn’t even need to try hard to turn me on.

“She’s so tempting, I’m dying to claim her already” Chaos said.

“And don’t you think I know that? I feel the same way but I would only do it when she asks for it. I guess there’s nothing in the mate bond that prevents us from claiming her, right?” I told him back.

“I don’t think so, be prepared because it won’t take long” he said, and I was hoping the same thing.

I was getting lost in this love and I wasn’t holding back as before, I felt lighter and happier with Lindsy by my side.

“Henry?” I heard Randal's voice on the call and I snapped out of my thoughts.

“Randall, please, you should send Mueller to the dungeon”, I told him.

“Finally, is Lindsy OK with this?” he asked me and I glanced at Lindsy, she nodded at me.

“She is”. I let him know and hung up.

“How about we go talk to your father on the Royal Pack?” I asked her and she nodded.

“All right, but it doesn’t have to be right away, right? I want to know how my mom and my brother are” she said, and I nodded.

“As you wish, my Luna”, I said, and I called the Silver Moon Pack and handed the phone over to Lindsy.

Leon POV:

I heard my cellphone ringing and I answered the call.

“Yes?”

“Leon, it’s me, are you OK? Is mom all right?” I heard.

“Lindsy?”

“Yes, I’m so sorry I didn’t call sooner. Hans tried to force mark me and kill me, Henry’s wolf saved me and killed him and it looks like Mueller was behind it all, he wanted to sabotage the Black Moon Pack and I didn’t follow his order” she said, enraging me.

“What? f**k, he’s the worse. Are you OK now?” I asked her. My voice was loud, but not because I was only angry, I was disappointed by what Mueller and Hans did.

“Yes, I was unconscious and I woke up yesterday. Henry looked out for me” she said, and I was relieved.

“The royal guards arrested Mueller. You can come back if you want”, I let her know.

“I can’t, Leon. I’m sorry, you see, Henry is my mate” she said, and I frowned. I didn’t know if I was happy or worried.

“How do you know, Lindsy? You’re not 18 yet”, I told her.

“I know but I’m sure of it, I can feel it already, the tingles and the electric jolts when our skin contacts” she said, and I relaxed.

“Wow, Alpha Henry, then, huh? I’m really happy for you, sis. Mom will also be really happy. Just promise me you’re going to visit the Silver Pack soon”, I told her and she giggled.

“Of course I will, you’re my family” she said.

“Take care, then, sis. I love you”, I told her.

“I love you too” she said, and we hung up.

“Mom”, I called her through mind-link.

Soon she made her way to the living room to join me.

“My dear, are you OK? You called me, need something?” she asked me, concerned, and checking on me.

I smiled at her and I hugged her.

She was always so caring, she always made sure to give us her all. She raised us and I’ll be forever grateful to our mom.

“I just want to say that Lindsy called and she is OK, she’s been attacked by Hans. He tried to mark her and kill her. Henry killed him and looked like Mueller wanted to sabotage the pack and asked Hans to take a look at her, even since Lindsy didn’t follow his order, Hans acted. She’s been unconscious, that’s why she didn’t contact us sooner, but she’s all right now” I let her know and her eyes started to glow as some tears shed from her eyes.

I held her hands in mine.

“Mom, nothing is going to prevent me from being the best Alpha this pack ever had now. I will be fair and protect every pack member that belongs to this Pack. No one will ever hurt or give us clueless orders ever again. We will make it official as soon as King Conri comes here”, I told her and she cupped my face.

“You deserve it, my son. You deserve it all and we all deserve you as our Alpha, you’re going to do great things” she told me and she sighed “My dear, I know about your odd powers”, she stated, and I startled.

“How?” I asked her and she smiled at me.

“I’m your mother, I know some things” she said.

“Maybe in the future, you'd better look for an Elder or a Wizard to check on you” she told me, and I frowned.

“I’m fine, mom. I promise you”, I told her and she smiled at me.

“Consider it” she asked me and I nodded.

“I’ll go take a look at the Pack now. Want to join me, mom?” I asked her, offering my arms to her and she stared at me wrapping her arms in mine.

“Really, Leon? May I?” She asked me, and my heart clenched for her.

She was always so used to staying inside the Pack House because of Mueller.

“Mom, I don’t want you to stay inside the Pack House anymore, you deserve so much better. You’re still our Luna and your opinion matters a lot to me, all right?” I guaranteed her and she let some stray tears fall from her eyes once again.

I wiped it with my thumb and we made our way out.

“You’ll need a Beta, son” she told me and I smiled at her.

“We’re going to visit him now, mom”, I let her know and she frowned.

Kyle has been my best friend ever since we were tiny pups but we always kept it in the dark because of Mueller. I always told him that he was the one.

I just felt it in my bones.

We made our way to his house, we knocked on the door and a she-wolf got out and quickly bowed down.

“Alpha, Luna” she said, and I smiled at her.

“Don’t need such a formality, ma’am. I wonder if your son is around?” I asked her and she smiled at us.

She probably mind-linked him and he soon went out of the house. He startled when he saw us.

“Huh, Alpha, Luna Liliane” he bowed down and kissed my mom’s hand and I rolled my eyes, “Looking prettier than ever, Luna. Is there something wrong, Alpha? Is there any…”

“Kyle, stop it already! I told my mom”, I said, cutting him, and he sighed in relief.

“Oh, I thought I was in trouble, fam! Don’t scare me like that anymore, I almost s**t myself here” he said, and I rolled my eyes again.

“Just…don’t push it, OK?” I told him.

“Sorry, so, what you’ve been up to?” he asked me and I gave him a big grin.

“When was it the last time you trained and how are your fighting skills?” I asked him and he gave me a mischievous grin.

He took his shirt off proudly.

“I’m strong, tall, built-up in muscles, sexy and pretty, fam! What else do you need from me? I’m not gay, though” he said, raising his eyebrows at me in the last part, and I rolled my eyes at him again as my mom was chuckling.

I wondered if it was a good idea after all.

He laughed out loud at me and patted my shoulder.

“I really like him, son! He’s the perfect Beta for you”, my mom told me, and I felt my confidence overflowing to do it.

His mother startled.

“Do you want Kyle to be this Pack’s Beta?” she asked us and I nodded at her, she cried in joyfulness.

She glanced at Kyle and cupped his face.

“Why didn’t you tell me, Kyle? I always thought that you were whoring around until dawn, you always came home sweating and panting, you were training after all, your father will be so proud”, his mom said and I chuckled over her statement.

“Sorry, mom, I couldn’t. Leon and I made a promise and I couldn’t betray him, and for the Goddess' sake no, I might be a party holder, crazy, drunk, flirter and messy, but I take the mate bond very seriously and I’m saving myself for my mate”, he said proudly and we all chuckled again.

He was loyal, strong and fair.

That’s what this Pack needed, it’s what I needed for a Beta.

“Pack your stuff, you can move into the Pack House tomorrow” I told them and they smiled at me.

Not even Kyle could hold back his tears of joy.

“Wait, Leon” he asked me, and I glanced at him.

He got closer and hugged me.

“Thank you for trusting me, fam” he said, and I hugged him back, patting his back.

“Now let me go, I don’t want my future Luna to think I’m having a love affair with you”, I joked, and he winked at me, blowing me kisses, mocking me.

My mom and I left his house and we could hear his howling in happiness.

She laughed out loud.

“Son, I’m so proud of you. He’s a great man”, she told me.

“Thank you, mom. Your opinion means a lot to me”. I let her know, I don’t want her to think that she doesn’t have a say in this pack. She was our Luna, and even after I officially became the Alpha, her opinion would still matter a lot to me.
