13. Disappointments

Mueller POV:

When Hans and I arrived at the Black Moon Pack, we were staring at it all in awe.

“Oh Hans, trust me, we’ll rule this pack and take advantage of it without being here” I told my Beta in reassurance.

“I don’t know, Alpha. Do you think Lindsy might follow your orders?” he asked me.

“Of course” I simply told him.

Lindsy was naïve and she was always scared of me. Besides, I taught her well that she must follow my every order.

I wouldn’t hesitate to get her whipped after she turns 18 if she betrays me.

I will make sure to make it very clear.

I knew exactly what to do to test her loyalty.

“Hans, I will ask Lindsy to do something today and I want you to keep an eye on her”, I asked him and he gave me a big grin.

I knew well that he always wanted to hook up with Lindsy. I wouldn’t oppose, but when I got to know about Henry, I just couldn’t miss the chance.

“All right, Alpha” he told me.

“If she fails, I want you to hand her over to me so I can punish her and then I will let you mark her, but don't you dare to kill or hurt her”, I told him, and his eyes opened wide.

“What?” he asked me.

“What? Don’t pretend you haven't tried to stay with my pup before. If she can’t obey me, then there’s no use for Lindsy to stay here”, I told him and he nodded.

I knew he would obey me, he was loyal to me.

We met and I tried to make Lindsy stay at the Pack House. Pack business wasn’t a women's thing but there was not much I could do.

But when we got to the Food Distributor Center, I was glad she was there.

After I mind-linked Hans to get lost with Henry for a couple of minutes and succeeded, I turned to glare at Lindsy.

“I need you to do something for me today”, I asked her and she looked at me expressionless, waiting for me to finish.

“I will give Henry a list of the things I’ll order. When they start to separate my orders, I want you to add a double of everything to my pack without anyone noticing it”, I told her, and her eyes opened wide.

“What are you asking for? Are you crazy?” she asked me and I chuckled.

“You’ll do it, Lindsy” I told her.

“Or else, someone was going to pay for your betrayal, maybe Leon or your mother” I mind-linked her and she gulped hard.

I smiled in response.

Lindsy POV:

He was the worst.

Oh Goddess, no, what am I going to do?

If I did something like that, no one would ever forgive me.

If I didn’t, I wouldn’t know what he was going to do to my mom or Leon and that I couldn’t have it either.

“ OK”, I told him and stood there for a while waiting for him to say something else, but he didn’t.

I turned my back and I was about to leave.

“Lindsy” he said, and I stopped.

“I mean it, you better do it or I’ll have you whipped again” he said. I gulped hard and I felt very uneased, then we left to where Henry was.

I was uneased, I felt dizzy.

“Henry, I’m sorry, I’m not feeling very well. I think I’m going outside for an air”, I told him and he nodded at me and continued to talk to Hans and my father.

I didn’t know what I’d do.

I knew that he was up to no good.

I know he meant it, he whipped me when I was a pup. Why couldn’t he do it to my mom or Leon?

What am I going to do?

Then I thought about everything I went through, how everyone welcomed me in this pack.

Then I thought about Susan and Alice.

I wouldn’t do it, I wouldn’t betray this pack.

I have to find another way to deal with it.

Should I tell Henry?

What if he kills my father and King Conri takes his Alpha position?

I couldn’t tell him.

I grabbed my cellphone and decided to call Susan.

“Hello?” she said.

“Susan, it’s me, Lindsy. I’m sorry for calling you like that, but I didn’t know who else I could call. I’m in big trouble” I told her, my voice was trembling.

“Calm down, pup. What’s wrong?” she asked.

“My father, he’s in our Pack and he told me to sabotage the Black Moon Pack. Please, I need help, any advice. I don’t know, I’m panicking. He told me if I didn’t do that, he would take it out on my mom or my brother. Susan, I can’t do this and I have a deep connection with the Pack and I can’t tell Henry either or else he might end up killing my father and he might lose his Alpha position and this pack needs him”, I told her with a trembling voice.

“Goddess, pup. Let me think”, she said

Susan POV:

I can’t believe it, Lindsy was getting through almost the same thing I did with Alpha Mueller.

I’ll never forget that awful night. He took my dignity away. I remember Aurora’s paws bleeding nonstop before I found Randall and recognized him as my mate.

“It was the worst night of our nights and the most beautiful morning” Aurora said in my mind.

All the memories came rushing over my mind.

He waited for me to get out of the clinic I was working on, then the wolfsbane's inject, the room he threw me in, his smell of Wolfcraig and wolfsbane, how he waited for me to wake up to violate me and how terrified I was when he left guaranteeing me he would be back soon, I shifted to Aurora hoping I could get rid of the ropes that were tying my wrist and it worked, Aurora slammed herself on the door to open it and we ran away, as fast as we could until I reached to the Black Moon Pack border.

But this is worse, much worse.

He’s threatening his own pup.

“I’ll tell Randall and the King, please, don’t worry” I told her and I could hear she was sighing in relief.

“Pup, just keep with your convictions and don’t do this” I told her.

“I won’t. I could never do that. I will have to trick him though. I think I’ll separate what he ordered to make him think I’m going to put it inside the truck and after he leaves, I will place everything back”, she told me. What a smart girl.

“You do that, don’t worry, we’re with you and we’ll make sure to investigate it and gather all the necessary evidence to take his Alpha position and lock him up in the dungeon”, I told her.

“Thank you, Susan” she said.

“You did the right thing by calling me. I’m so proud of you. You’re going to be an amazing Luna. But are you ready for it? It’s your father”, I told her.

“Susan…he’s never been my father” she told me and I gasped.

“What? What do you mean?” I asked her.

“Never mind, it’s not the kind of thing to talk about on the cellphone, but I can tell you that I’m a girl with a lot of packages on my back and his Beta isn’t any better. I want my brother to take the Alpha position”, she told me.

“We’ll figure things out, thanks for letting me know” I said and hung up.

Randall approached me and wrapped his arms around me.

He noticed how uneased I was.

“What’s wrong?” he asked me.

“Lindsy is in trouble, Alpha Mueller was there and asked her to sabotage the Pack” I told him and he growled.

“What?” he shouted and I held his hands to calm him down.

“He threatened her, she called me and she was so desperate, she said she wouldn’t do that. She had grown fond of the pack, she'd be an amazing Luna, but Mueller said that if she didn’t do that, he would take it out on Liliane and their son”, I said, and he looked enraged.

“Let’s talk to Conri right now” he said.

“We will, she will trick her father while he’s there. She's going to separate the things he's about to order so he'll think that she’ll put whatever he wants inside the truck, but she won’t. After he leaves their pack, she will place everything back”, I told him.

“What a smart girl, Henry is lucky to have her” he said, and I nodded.

“And she can feel the pull already, can you believe that?”

“Really? And Henry wanting to keep things slow” he said while he was chuckling “Did she tell Henry?” he asked me.

“No Randall, and she won’t and it's better that way, because Henry might end up killing Mueller and Conri would have no other option but to take his Alpha position ever since Mueller didn’t commit a crime directly”, I told him and he ran his hand through his hair.

“Goddess, she’s good, even in this kind of situation she can still think about him” he told me and I nodded at his words.

“Now, let’s talk to Conri, we will need to contact Liliane in the evening”, I told him, and he nodded at me.

Henry POV:

Something was definitely off here.

I pretended I didn’t notice anything, I would check on the security cameras later in the security building.

“I think she’s in trouble” Chaos said.

We kept talking and I was showing the pack to them.

“I’m starving, let’s eat something” Mueller said, and we went to a restaurant.

Lindsy was quiet, too quiet.

“Is everything OK?” I asked her and she smiled at me and nodded.

But I could see that there was something gloomy in her eyes. I needed to know what was going on.

After we finished eating, Mueller was the one who broke the silence.

“Henry, I have an order to do. I will send it via my laptop” he said, and I nodded.

“Fine, I will direct it to the Distributor Center” I replied to him.

We left and Mueller entered in his car with his Beta.

“Lindsy, I can feel that there’s something wrong with you, please tell me, we’ll figure it out together”. I told her.

“Well, it’s fine really, it’s just…I get very uneased by my father’s presence here” she told me, and I wasn’t completely satisfied with her answer, but I would leave it for now.

“Do you want me to ask him to go?” I asked her and she shook her head.

“No need, I don’t want to show him that he can scare me” she chuckled.

My cellphone bipped and it was Mueller's e-mail with everything he wanted to order. I sent it forward to the Distributor Center and glanced at Lindsy again.

I ran my hands through her hair to calm her down and it seemed to work because she was more relaxed now.

Mueller and Hans came out.

“Lindsy, are you OK?” Mueller asked her.

“Yes, I’m just a little dizzy.”

“You barely ate, do you want me to take you for an air?” he asked her and she nodded.

I frowned.

Are those two trying to do something from my back?

“Stop it, Henry. You’re unbelievable, you should be worried about her right now”, Chaos told me.

“Right, I think she’s fine, she even accepted his company”, I told Chaos, and he barked at me in response.

“Actually, Hans, how about we go for a tour in the security building?” I invited him and he nodded, smiling at me.

We made our way in and I asked Alex to show him around that I’d be right back.

I went to the camera system room and I accessed the images of the time when we were at the Distributor Center. I watched it from when Lindsy was there with her father.

I turned on the sound.

““I will give Henry a list of the things I’ll order. When they start to separate my orders, I want you to add a double of everything to my pack without anyone noticing it.”

“What are you asking for? Are you crazy?”

“You’ll do it, Lindsy.”

“Ok”

I can’t believe it, they were acting behind my back.

I stood up in a jolt, enraged to the bone.
