14. Lovesick Wolf

Henry POV:

I can’t believe it.

I started to pace from side to side. I knew it, I was right.

“You have to talk to her, you don’t know what’s going on or if he threatened her” Chaos said.

“Don’t tell me you’re that stupid, Chaos. Haven’t you heard of them? Haven’t you seen her? I didn’t see any threats there. She was willingly saying OK.” I told him and put him at the back of my mind.

I don’t need him to distract me right now.

I let it go for way too long.

I will act and I won’t accept this bullshit in my pack.

I was thinking about a way I would get them at the right time.

I checked on the camera again and they were there. Lindsy had a paper in her hands and she was even separating the things he was ordering.

I couldn’t believe my bare eyes.

How could I’ve been so stupid? And here I was thinking we could have a chance.

This was all bullshit, the mate bond was bullshit.

I would lock her up in the dungeon and I'd reject her.

“No, you won’t. I won’t let you”, Chaos said, and I put him in the back of my mind again.

I sat on the chair and ran my hand through my hair, then an idea occurred to me.

I would wait until the truck was about to leave the distributor center. She would definitely be there to put the rest of the things inside without anyone noticing it.

Then I would lock her up, ask the driver to re-count everything and send her back to where she couldn’t have left.

I have enough evidence, I just need to wait until she actually does it.

I tried to calm down but I couldn’t. I was hurt again and I knew this was going to happen.

Chaos was trying to come to the surface but I wouldn’t let him disrupt my plans.

I went out and I looked for Hans.

I will play my role for now. We left the security building and Mueller and Lindsy came to see us.

I couldn’t even look at her.

She also couldn’t look at me. I was glad. I was hoping that at least she could feel a little ashamed of what she was doing.

I’ll mind-link Hunter to tell him what’s going on. I will need his help.

When it was afternoon, Mueller and Hans left the Pack.

We waved them goodbye and now it was about time she'd act.

The truck is about to leave in 5 minutes. I will make it easier for her.

She sighed in relief, how could she do it to me? To the pack that welcomed her so well?

“I will need to go check on something in the Distributor Center. Join me?” I asked her and she nodded.

She looked happy, but that happiness wouldn’t last long. I will make sure of it.

No one dares to sabotage my pack.

When I was there, I gave her space and when I found it was time to act, I called Hunter and when I got there, the place was empty and the trucks were closed and loaded.

Lindsy seemed like she had just accomplished a mission. She sighed, looking relieved.

She still smiled at me; “Henry.”

I stormed out at her, enraged, and I held her wrist fiercely.

“How dare you? This pack welcomed you so well” I shouted and she startled.

“What? Henry, wait…” she tried to say something but I was too enraged to even hear what she had to say.

Chaos was desperately trying to take control, but I kept putting him at the back of my mind. Chaos wouldn’t distract me now.

“I’ve heard what your father proposed to you and you accepted it. This place is full of security cameras.”

“Henry, please, it’s not what you’re thinking.” She pleaded with tears in her eyes, but I’m not falling for that anymore.

“I don’t think about anything. I’ve seen it Lindsy. You’re nothing but a fake and worthless woman just like your father. So, here’s the deal, I will lock you up, re-count the trucks and I’ll make sure you will leave this pack by tomorrow morning. You should never have come. Thank me that I won't report you in the Royal Pack. Before all of that, I will reject you”, I told her.

Lindsy POV:

“I don’t think about anything. I’ve seen it Lindsy. You’re nothing but a fake and worthless woman just like your father. So, here’s the deal, I will lock you up, re-count the trucks and I’ll make sure you will leave this pack by tomorrow morning. You should never have come. Thank me that I won't report you in the Royal Pack. Before all of that, I will reject you”, he said, and that hurt me more than when my father whipped me.

I felt broken. I started to cry nonstop.

He could feel it and still he didn’t say anything. Why?

And why can’t he listen to me?

If he saw what happened, why wasn’t he taking the threat into consideration?

Then I thought about what he said. They will re-count the food inside the truck. He will see I didn’t sabotage the pack.

There was nothing I could do or say right now, he wouldn’t trust me.

Henry was holding my wrist fiercely and it was hurting me, but not as much as hearing from him that he was going to reject me.

I just looked down and he practically dragged me inside his car and when we reached the security building, he opened his door and slammed it close and he opened mine and held my wrist again.

I felt so ashamed of the wolves who were staring at us.

Then, when I was there, Alex looked at me.

“I’m sorry, Lindsy,” he said, before he gently handcuffed me and he took me to the dungeon.

I sat in the cell. I felt broken, hopeless as I was crying nonstop.

Why did things have to go this way?

Why was my father destroying everything?

My hope, my dreams, the mate bond and the pack I cared so much about?

I stayed there for about 30 minutes sobbing and then I heard someone coming in.

Then I startled when I saw who it was.

He opened the cell’s door and he had a mischievous grin on his face.

“Hans? What are you doing here? I thought you had left.”

“Well, your father was unsure if you would do or not what he ordered you to do. So he asked me to keep an eye on you and I did. I saw you placing the food back” he said, coming closer, “You’ve been a very bad, bad girl, Lindsy. Just the way I like it” he said, and I panicked.

“Don’t come any closer, Hans. Please, you’re not like that”, I tried to reason.

“What? Because I used to flirt with you? I was trying to take you to my bed, Lindsy. I wanted to deflower you because you’re beautiful, sweet and innocent. I wonder, are you still waiting for your first kiss too?” he whispered the last part.

I noticed the door was open. I had to run away from here.

“Hans, what my father ordered you to do?” I asked him while my gaze was searching for anything that could help me. Then I saw that there was another security camera in each cell, OK, but that wasn’t very useful right at that moment.

“He said I can mark you as mine” he grinned and he ran over to me.

I tried to run but the cell was small.

“No, please. You know how the mate bond is special to me”, I tried to reason, and he smiled.

“But you haven’t found your mate yet.”

“Yes, I did”, I told him, and I tried to run to the door but she grabbed me and threw me back inside.

“Oh no, you won’t. Who is he? I will kill him” he asked, and then he placed his hand on each side of my head and leaned closer “or are you trying to trick me?” he asked.

I couldn’t have him trying to kill Henry.

“Yes, I’m tricking you” I said. He got enraged and he pinned my body against his and he forced my head to the side as his fangs elongated.

“Oh no, you won’t” I’m the one who said now and I kicked him and tried to run away again, but he soon grabbed me and I felt him piercing my shoulder with his fangs. I screamed in pain but I was squirming nonstop trying to get rid of his grip on me.

“Damn it, Lindsy, stop moving or you’ll get hurt even more” he shouted.

Then I felt it again in the crook of my neck but I hit my head on his and his fangs didn’t sink deep enough to mark me.

I was bleeding and I knew it could get an infection, but like hell I would let him mark me.

He wasn’t violating my body, he was violating my soul. And that I couldn’t have.

He turned my head to the other side trying to mark me, but I was squirming, making it hard for him. I was restricted by the handcuffs, making it harder for me to defend myself.

He got off me and I tried to run to the door again,

“Damn, you just don’t ever give up, do you?” he asked me, throwing me back.

I was weak and I was panting, I was bleeding and I was losing a lot of blood.

“Alex.” I tried to scream…”Hunter.” I tried again…

“Henry, please” I tried and Hans just laughed over my attempts.

“Chaos, please” I thought.

Hans squeezed my neck and lifted me against the wall. I was choking and I felt suffocated.

Then he loosened his grip, making me fall on the floor.

I tried to get up again, trying to leave.

He punched my stomach, my breath hitched and I spit blood.

I fell down to the floor.

“Damn Lindsy, it would be so much easier if you had just obeyed your father” he said.

“You’re never going to sabotage this pack. These wolves are way better than you and my father will ever be. It would be so much easier if both of you just understood that. I will always protect this pack, you will never and ever going to do anything against it” I whispered, holding on to my dear life.

He kicked me while I was on the floor and then he lifted me again.

“You know what, I’m going to mark you and I’m going to use you as my s*x toy because that’s the only thing you’ll be worth being at”, he whispered to me, and he hit my head against the wall.

I heard a loud and powerful growl before I went unconscious.

Chaos POV:

Unbelievable how Henry was insane and traumatized.

How come he couldn’t even listen to our mate?

I understand the pain we’ve been through before, but Lindsy was nothing like Stacy, it was so obvious.

Henry kept putting me in the back of his mind, but I wouldn’t give up.

If Henry doesn’t stand for our mate, I will for us both.

I saw her eyes, she was innocent, she was ashamed when Henry treated her like a criminal. I hope he learns his lesson from now on.

He was on his guard-up all the time that he couldn’t even notice that he was treating Lindsy almost the same way that b***h treated us.

We were back at the Distributor Center and Henry was waiting for them to re-count the food inside the truck.

“Sir, everything matched with the orders account, nothing more and nothing less” the trucker said, making Henry frown.

“I told you, moron”, I told my human.

Then he received a call from Liliane.

“Hello?”

“Hello, Henry? I’m so sorry for disturbing you but I just got a horrible call from the Royal Pack, is everything all right? They told me that Lindsy, Leon and I might be in danger” she said, and Henry frowned again.

“Huh, actually Liliane, may I call you later?” Henry asked.

“Yes, sure, I’ll be waiting, please, tell my pup to contact me as soon as she can.”

“You’re so stupid, Henry. If we lose her because of your traumas, I will ask the Goddess to take me to another Alpha”, I told him.

“Chaos, please”, I heard my mate calling for me.

I found a strength I didn’t know I had and force-shifted.

I started to run to the security building like my life depended on it.

“What are you doing? Are you nuts?” Henry asked me.

“Lindsy is in danger, she called me”, I told him.

“You’re definitely nuts” he said, and I laughed.

“That’s right, I’m a lovesick nuts pup” I said, and I put him at the back of my mind.

When I got there, I didn’t even bother to greet anyone, I ran right into my mate’s cell.

When I arrived, I could smell blood.

Henry came back to the surface and he was also startled.

Then I saw her, she was with that f****d up Beta, he was about to…mark my mate?

“What the f**k is he doing to her?” Henry asked me, but I didn’t even reply to him.

I growled loudly, making the whole building tremble and the Beta startled. I didn’t even give him any chance to shift.

I attacked and bit right on his neck with all the strength I had and I threw his lifeless body away from my mate. She was covered with blood.

“That motherfucker tried to mark my mate. You better call the emergency right now, Henry, or I swear to the Goddess you’ll regret it more than I will make you regret for the rest of your immortal life” I told him firmly.
