The Demerit System
Diane had the next day off, but Kevin and Monica both drove that evening. She seemed fully aware of what transpired the previous night, between him and Diane, and her smirking and the air of superiority she exuded with him drew a few looks from the other drivers. Kevin did his best to remain curt and polite with Monica to minimize her opportunity to raise questions, but she found chances throughout the night to suggest extra chores for him to work on between deliveries while she and the other drivers gathered and chatted.
