SEALED WITH A KISS

It was a bright day Florence sat in her passageway and was engulfed in her emotions, she hasn't heard from her husband for over six months the children were asleep and didn't know what was going on. They've been told by their Mom that Daddy moved to a different city for work. The telephone rang and Flo hurriedly picked it up hoping it was Dave, it was the delivery man from Pizza Place. The year had gone by so quickly and a call came in on the landline, Hi Flo’’ Dave? Where have you been all these months? You abandoned the children and me. He told her he wanted a new start, so he moved out of the city to start life anew? He wanted a divorce but didn't know how to go about it, he said he would rather not break her, so he left without a word. A wound that was healing has become fresh again! Florence hung up before Dave could say another word and cried her eyes out. It was time to leave for work and on her way to the office, she saw someone who looked like Dave from a distance ‘That's Dave!’ she thought out. She went into the coffee shop and was shocked It was her best friend. Dave had been in the city all this while with her best friend. they were shocked and in disbelief. They never thought she'd find them. “How long have you been having an affair with my husband,” Flo asked angrily, but Dave and Jane were too stunned to speak. “ U know what? U can keep him! You're a match for each other. also, he's been a deadbeat father to the children” Flo hurriedly left the coffee shop and spent a moment in the car trying to process what she just witnessed. “Mum! You promised to come for my Basketball tournament at school today, I'm so mad at you mum” Flo was heartbroken and didn't remember she had to attend her son's game. She was still trying to process what had happened earlier. I'm so sorry Rim” I was so busy at work today and forgot about your tournament”. Flo said Rim, wanted his mom to be there. “I forgive you, mum” But I want to speak to dad! Flo was confused at this moment and didn't know what to do because all this while, she told the children that their father was working overseas and for that, they couldn't speak to him.I want to speak to dad mom! Glo finally gave in and promised the children to let them speak to their father. she went into the bathroom and asked him to call them but promised Dave that he will never set his eyes on them. “Hi daddy!” Rin called out “where have you been?” “I'm so sorry Rin, I haven't gotten in touch with you my love I've been very busy with work and I promise I'll make it up to you” Dave said “daddy please when are you coming back home we miss you a lot”. The children were were sad but Dave tried to convince them that he'll be home soon. “I'll see you soon and I promise to bring along lots of toys and candies” the children were filled with Joy and couldn't wait to finally meet him because, they've alwaysbragged in school about their dad working overseas. “Your so strong daddy!” Sarah told her dad, Mr. Sam. He was having a lovely time with his kids Sarah and Jim at the park. They played and had fun in the sand, Sarah loved the hula hoop and her brother Jim raced round the park with their Dad. It was a fun day. Is everything fine between you and Dave? Flo's mum asked her. She wasn't informed of all that had happened between her daughter and Dave. “Yes mum everything is fine” Flo hadn't wrapped up what happened yet and so, couldn't bring herself to tell her mum yet. “He hasn't been home for a while now Flo, what if he falls in love with a different woman overseas ?” her mum asked. She was really troubled. Well, if he tries it, I'll make sure to teach him a lesson and shred him to pieces” she jokingly said, And they both laughed it off. Mr Sam, “here are the samples for the dresses that'll be used for the upcoming fashion show” Flo left the samples and left for their desk.Flo worked for a fashion company. She just got the job. She quit her former job because she needed a better means of income so she could take care of her children. “Are you the new staff?” Mr. Sam asked “Yes I am” Flo replied happily. They had just closed from work for the day and all the team members decided to have lunch together. They all went to a barbecue place and celebrated the newly employed staffs. While eating, Flo looked over at her table and sited Dave and her ex best friend. ‘Will i continue to barge into them’? She asked herself. She didn't want to create a scene so she turned a blind eye and continued the celebration with her new team and boss. Dinner was over and it was time to retire home, Flo was about to leave the restaurant with her teammates when Dave and his paramour walked toward her. Immediately Flo couldn't help it and gave her a glaring gaze. Mr. Sam noticed and asked her if everything was okay and she sis no she had a lot bothering her and just wants to cool off. He offered to give her a ride home and that was when Flo opened up to him about the affair her husband has with her best friend. Me Sam felt sorry for her and dropped her off. ‘People are really going through a lot he said softly to himself’. Dave was still at the restaurant and felt frustrated because he didn't want to barge into her regularly. He had to come up with a plan.
